2d conference of Zenobia Women's Gathering kicks off

The work of the second conference of the Zenobia Women’s Gathering, which was held in the Meshwar Hall in Raqqa, began in the meantime, in the presence of members of the gathering’s offices in Tabqa, Raqqa, Manbij and Deir al-Zor, and members of civil and military institutions and the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), the Syrian Women’s Council, civil society organizations and the Union The young woman and the Democratic Union Party (PYD) observed a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, then the spokeswoman for the Zenobia Women’s Gathering in Raqqa, Khoud Al-Issa, welcomed the attendees, and said: “We dedicate this conference to the leader and thinker Abdullah Ocalan, the martyrs, and the women who resist the patriarchal mentality in Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq and Turkey.

Al-Issa also appreciated the efforts of women and their pioneering role during the two-year journey of struggle, stressing: "You were and still are pioneers in consolidating and developing the basic principles of free women."

Khoud Al-Issa drew attention to the work of the Zenobia Women's Gathering during the past two years, saying: "Two years of the life of the Zenobia Women's Gathering have increased its capabilities in several areas in the field of administration, organization, and restoring life to women."

She emphasized that the Gathering has made good strides in self-building and women's organization, which will be a destination for all Syrian women.

The work of the conference continues with several speeches, and a TV show about the work of the Gathering during the past two years, in addition to reading the assessments of leader Abdullah Ocalan on the organization of women, and discussing the internal system of the Gathering.

The conference held the first establishment of the Zenobia Women’s Gathering in Raqqa, on the first of June 2021, and four offices branch out from it in Raqqa, Tabqa, Manbij and Deir al-Zor.
