Documentation center monitors 101 violations in occupied areas during June

Documentation center of Violations in northern Syria monitored the occurrence of 101 violations during the month of June, in the occupied Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî, with the Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries continuing their practices against international laws and covenants against the citizens.

The Violations Documentation Center in NE Syria, Vdc-Nsy, documented during the month of June 2023 the following Turkish violations in the aforementioned areas.

-Two people were killed as a result of the bombing.

-5 accidents resulting from the explosion of mines and booby traps

-33 people were arrested and 17 of them were tortured

-19 people were kidnapped

-5 people were injured, including a child, as a result of shelling, house raids, explosive fragments, explosions, or as a result of being beaten by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation.

-The villages of the populated area were bombed, either by air, artillery or mortar shells 9 times, leaving 7 civilians injured and dead.

-9 incidents of fighting between mercenaries inside cities were documented

The Turkish occupation state attacks on NE Syria, and its occupation of the cities of Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî caused human tragedies, displacing 375,000 of its residents, in addition to human rights violations, crimes of torture, arrests, field executions, the seizure of real estate and property, indiscriminate shelling, and the use of Internationally prohibited weapons, in addition to the targeting of medical groups and journalists, all of this contributed to the worsening of the situation and the entry of the entire region into chaos and the return of bombings and assassinations.

The Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries (Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, the National Army) continue to commit more violations, as 10,290 people were killed and injured, of whom 2,795 were killed, while the number of detainees reached 9,053 since the beginning of the Turkish occupation of areas in northern Syria, about 6,979 of them were released, while the fate of the rest is still unknown.

The number of those killed under torture in prisons reached 181, and the number of Syrian refugees killed by Turkish occupation soldiers’ bullets rose to 560, including (103 children under the age of 18 and 67 women).
