​​​​​​​​​​​​​K.Star pledge to escalate struggle on anniversary of Zilan' martyrdom

The Kongra Star Council pledge came through a written statement, which it published this morning on its official websites, in memory of the fighter Zilan.

The martyr Zilan (Zainab Kanaji), carried out an operation on June 30, 1996, inside a center of the Turkish occupation army in the city of Dersim in Bakur (Northern Kurdistan) during the ceremony of raising the Turkish flag, in response to the assassination attempt carried out by the Turkish intelligence against leader Abdullah Ocalan in the Syrian capital, Damascus, on May 6 of the same year, according to her message, that she left to her comrades.

the statment reads: "On the twenty-seventh anniversary of Comrade Zilan's martyrdom, we remember in the person of Comrade Zilan all our heroic martyrs".

The statement mentioned the names of dozens of fighters and activists who, through their resistance, contributed to achieving the gains of the peoples of Kurdistan, "the resistance of each of the comrades; Sama Yoga, Fikry Baykildi, Gulan (Feliz Yerlikaya), Zilan Babula, Fatoush, Rojbin, Ronahi, Elftaria, Arin, and Chelik , Tekushin, Avista, Dalal, Armang, Media, Jindar, Dijla, Okur Shakir, Zelkov, Kazen, Omid Agar, Yunga Akneci, Ayten Baygan, Zahra Saklam, Media Chnar, Siraja Soksek, Mahsum Bamai, Roken and Sara, the ones brought us to our day this".

"At the same time, we remember all the martyrs of the revolution with love and respect, and once again on the anniversary of Comrade Zilan's martyrdom, we pledge to achieve success and uphold our sacred values," it added.

The statement noted the inheritance left by the Comrade Zilan's operation for all peoples, foremost among which was the woman, "her commando operation was as the power of an entire army, because she left us many messages that illuminate the path of our struggle. That is why thousands of girls and boys followed the steps of Operation Zilan and made it a beacon of freedom and struggle.
