Co-chair of Qamishlo Canton reveals details of Turkish drone attack on their car

On Tuesday, a drone belonging to the Turkish occupation targeted a car of the Qamishlo Canton Council, on the road between Tirbspî district and the city of Qamishlo near the village of Tal Shair, led to martyrdom the co-chair of the Canton Council, Yousra Darwish, Lyman Shweish, and Furat Touma.

The co-chair of the Qamishlo Canton Council, Gabi Shamoun was wounded in the head and was taken to a hospital in Qamishlo, he was discharged from the hospital yesterday because his health condition is stable,

For more details about the attack, ANHA agency's correspondent visited the house of the co-chair of the Canton council, Gabi Shimon.

Gabi explained, "I was accompanied by the co-chair of the Qamishlo Canton Council, Yousra Darwish, the co-chair of the council Lyman Shweish, and council member Furat Touma on an official visit to the Canton's Councils."

He continued: "On the way back, we were discussing issues related to the councils that we visited to develop solutions. Suddenly, we heard a strong sound. I only felt Furat's body falling to my side. I thought it was a traffic accident at first. I removed his body from me, and I managed to open the front door and get out." Then I realized it was a target.

Gabi added: "Furat was martyred because the missile fell near where he was driving the car. I immediately rushed to help and rescue Yousra and Lyman, who were unconscious after the targeting, but I was not able to open the door and save them, as the car was on fire.

To save them, Gabi ran to male and female workers in the neighboring agricultural lands, "When they approached our site, the occupation launched new attacks, so fear dominated them and they retreated," adding, "I could not save them on my own."

He made the point clear: "We are facing a cowardly terrorist enemy who supports terrorism. We know that our path is fraught with dangers, and the recent escalation by the Turkish occupier took place after the Autonomous Administration announced the start of trial of ISIS mercenaries, who are directly supported by the Turkish regime."

The co-chair of the Qamishlo Canton Council, Gabi Shimon affirmed that they will continue their struggle on the path of the martyrs until achievement the victory.
