"We thank all the efforts of the delegations participating in the process of settling the crisis. The situation of Syria is changing radically, and one of its features is the Arab countries' endeavor to restore relations with it and the return of Damascus to the Arab League," said Kanat Tomich, Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, at the conclusion of the 20th round of Astana talks.

He continued, "Syria's return to the Arab League and the return of Arab relations with Damascus is one of the achievements of the work carried out by the delegations of countries in the Astana talks.

He added, "Syria's exit from the crisis can be considered one of the achievements of the Astana. And because of the positive developments in Syria recently, we call for this meeting to be the last one for the Astana talks".

The Russian President's envoy to Syria, Alexander Lavreentiev, considered Kazakhstan's decision to end hosting the Astana talks as surprising, and that the Astana will continue its work elsewhere.

The participants in the 20th round of the Astana talks issued a final statement, which was no different from its predecessor, which insisted on accusing the AANES of "separation", which AANES always emphasized on the unity of the Syrian lands and called for dialogue with the Damascus government, unlike the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries who impose the Turkish language, currency and flag in the areas occupied by Turkey, not to mention the targeting of Damascus forces, in addition to it becoming a place for members and leaders of ISIS mercenaries.
