Leader's lawyers, Abdullah Ocalan, submit a new request to meet him

Lawyers for the leader Abdullah Ocalan, who is being held in Imrali prison and under strict isolation, submitted a new request to the Republican Public Prosecutor's Office and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet with him.

On Tuesday, the lawyers of the Al-Asr Human Rights Office, Ibrahim Bilmes, Nowruz Uysal, Mezlûm Dînç, and Cengiz Yorkli, submitted a new request to the Republican Public Prosecutor's Office in Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate in order to meet with their client, leader Abdullah Ocalan.

His lawyers submit two requests every week in order to meet with him, but their requests are not answered systematically, and sometimes the lawyers' requests are rejected after months, under the pretext of imposing a "disciplinary penalty" on him.

The lawyers also submitted a request to meet the other detainees, Omar Omer Hayrî Konar, Hamîlî Yildirim and Weysî Aktaş who have been subjected to strict isolation for more than two years.

It is worth noting that the family of the leader and the Al-Asr Human Rights Office have not been able to obtain any information about the leader Abdullah Ocalan since March 25, 2021 until now.
