The Egyptian historian, Ali Abu al-Khair, confirmed that the disputes and problems taking place in the region are the result of the policies of the colonial countries that they enshrined in the region, by implanting national and sectarian regimes with the aim of dominating the region and plundering its wealth, and indicated that the thought of leader Ocalan represents the only way to perpetuate the values of co-existence in the Middle East.

The colonial powers worked to divide the region into states of national and sectarian character in order to make it easier for them to occupy the region and steal its wealth.

According to observers and experts, the Middle East and all the people of the region are in dire need to establish a state of co-existence by relying on the theory of brotherhood of peoples and the democratic nation, to confront plans that aim to dominate the region.

The Egyptian writer and historian Ali Abu al-Khair believes that, before talking about the Sykes-Picot Agreement, reference must be made to the friendly agreement between France and Britain in 1904, which defined the spheres of influence of each country. Whereby the Levant and Algeria became subordinate to France, while Egypt and Sudan were subject to Britain.

Ali Abu al-Khair told ANHA’s agency: "This agreement was the beginning of the division of the region and paved the way for the signing of the Sykes-Picot Agreement in 1916, pointing out that the agreement relied on dividing the region according to ethnic nationalities, and it also included some regions other than their race. In all these colonial attempts, no mention was made. Kurdish people rarely leave the problem for a near future.

Abu al-Khair pointed out: “When we look at history, we find that the colonial plan to divide the region began with Sykes-Picot in 1916, a year later, the Balfour Declaration of 1917, then the Treaty of Sèvres of 1920, then the increase in immigration to Israel, and then the Lausanne Agreement in 1923, pointing out that by following these dates, we find that the plan was It aims to implant Israel in the heart of the Middle East while depriving the Kurds of their right to establish a state, and distributing them as a minority in more than one country to avoid their unity, given that the Kurds are a struggling people throughout its history, and it was in the first ranks to defend Palestine, which is not desirable in colonial circles.

Partition scheme

He pointed out that the colonial plan sought to consolidate disunity and division among the people of the region, by establishing states in the Ottoman provinces, with the intentional presence of a minority in conflict with ethnicity within these states to create a permanent state of instability, in addition to establishing states with kings who do not belong to the governed people.

The Egyptian historian criticized the Arabs for not having a fair political view towards the Kurds and the Kurdish issue, despite what the Kurds have provided for Arab and Islamic issues and what they represent as a first line of defense for the Arabs against the forces that target them in the region.

Ocalan's thought is the solution

Regarding the possibility of restoring the values of co-existence and brotherhood among the components of the region, the Egyptian historian believes: "This is difficult, but not impossible. The values of co-existence between the components of the Arab region need to return to Islamic and democratic values." Pointing out that: "These values were clearly embodied and expressed in the thought of the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan, in his philosophy of the democratic nation and the brotherhood of peoples, which relies on the need to shift from national foundations to democratic Islam."

According to the Egyptian historian, “Islam itself called for freedom, fraternity, and peaceful co-existence, as the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, did with the Medina Document after his direct migration to it, and the document made everyone inside it a citizen who has his rights regardless of his religion; the Jews in Medina had a real presence in the document.”
