​​​​​​​Anger-condemnation of Turkish occupation violations against woman in occupied areas

In response to the crimes of murder, looting committed by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries against the women and the people of occupied Afrin, and recently, a Kurdish woman named "Aufa Sheikh Ahmed", from the village of Sheikh in Rajo district, was killed with a sharp object, by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation, after they looted her house and burn her to hide the signs of their crime.

The Sara Organization for Combating Violence against Women in Aleppo, Kobani, and Hasakah, the Syrian Women’s Council in Raqqa, and the Women’s Council of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in Aleppo, in the presence of dozens of women within the women’s movements and organizations in North and East Syria, made statements condemning this crime and all The crimes of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries against women.

SARA's statement began by condemning the violations by the Turkish occupier and its mercenary of the murder, rape and theft of property by the inhabitants of the occupied canton of Afrin, amid the silence of international forces about these crimes, which are permanently documented to demonstrate the heinous nature of what is being committed against the inhabitants there.

It recalled that two children (10-14 years) had been raped by Turkish occupying mercenaries earlier in May, noting that these crimes and the murder of "Aufa Sheikh Ahmed" were a series of thousands of crimes committed by the Turkish occupier and their mercenaries against people, women and children in Afrin and all areas occupied by them from Syria.

The statement of the Syrian Women's Council, which was attended by women members of the Council, and by the Zenobia Women's Gathering, and delivered by the member of the Council, Suhair Sanoh, noted that Syrian women were among the most affected groups since the outbreak of the war in the country.

Afrin and other areas occupied by Turkey and its mercenaries, such as Jarabulus, Tal Abyed and Idlib, had this year witnessed a significant increase in the rate of murders, kidnappings, displacement and seizure of land and property.

For its part, the Women's Council of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in Aleppo made a statement in the Sheikh Maksoud neighbourhood, delivered by the council’s member, Thana Mohammad Ali.

The statement referred to the crimes committed by the Turkish occupation army in Afrin since its occupation from the demographic change, killing, destruction, displacement and targeting of its displaced persons in the UAVs.

The Russian Federation held responsible for the acts committed in Afrin and vowed to "continue the struggle until return and liberate every inch of Syria's territory."
