​​​​​​​AANES confirms that Damascus government obstructs the evacuats of citizens in Sudan

Within the framework of the endeavors and efforts made by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, to evacuate the Syrians in Sudan, as a result of the ongoing conflict in it, the Autonomous Administration confirmed through a statement, that the Damascus government prevented the arrangement of any other flights by the airlines contracting with it.

The Foreign Relations Department of NE Syria stated at the beginning of its statement: "The AANES, represented by the Department of Foreign Relations, was able to evacuate 369 citizens of NE Syria from Sudan, as a result of the ongoing war there, through 3 flights, and it was announced in official statements issued by the Department based on its humanitarian, moral and patriotic responsibilities and the call of our families there, many of whom were children, women and a number of corpses, despite the challenges and obstacles that faced the committees formed for this purpose."

The Foreign Relations Department indicated that the specialized committees in the Autonomous Administration expressed their intention to arrange other trips to evacuate more citizens stuck in Sudan and bring them to Qamishlo, but the challenges were greater and prevented their implementation.

The statement listed the details of the obstacles, "Syrian regime imposing impossible conditions on citizens wishing to return to the regions of NE Syria, not to mention the media misinformation practiced and far from the truth and reality, by media institutions close to the Syrian regime, which mentioned according to their claim and on A high-ranking diplomat from the Syrian Foreign Ministry said that the Syrian government was able to secure 2 free flights through the Syrian Cham Wings Airlines, the last of which was carrying 170 people who arrived at Damascus airport.

The Department confirmed in its statement that the truth is completely the opposite, "as the committees formed by the Foreign Relations Department had arranged this trip and agreed with the Cham Wings Company to deliver them to Qamishlo airport, but the authorities in Damascus prevented the company from delivering the people to Qamishlo, and it dropped off citizens at Damascus airport to practice media misinformation at the expense of the humanitarian situation of Syrian citizens, and prevented the arrangement of any other flights by the company which the Autonomous Administration agreed to evacuate other citizens stuck in the midst of the Sudanese war.

The Foreign Relations Department stated: "At a time when the Syrian regime is required to provide guarantees and facilities for the return of Syrian refugees to their homeland to end the suffering of our people in the diaspora, and bear the responsibility in the first place for obstructing the return of Syrians to their areas of origin, and now it is required to open its doors for the return of Syrians to their areas in a way that guarantees their rights and dignity.

The Foreign Relations Department affirmed the fulfillment of its humanitarian responsibilities towards its citizens, and noted: "At a time when we affirm the determination of the Foreign Relations Department of NE Syria to carry out its humanitarian responsibilities towards its stuked citizens in Sudan if it was able to overcome these obstacles, with our special thanks to all the parties that cooperated with the AANES in evacuating their citizens."
