AANES conducts first return batches from al-Hol camp during current year

In implementation of the decision issued by AANES on October 10, 2020, following the meeting it held with the Syrian Democratic Council, the Social Affairs and Labor Body, and the Interior Body, on October 5, 2020, today the camp administration conducted its first return batches from al-Hol camp during the current year.

ANHA correspondent from the camp, quoting the official of the exit office in al-Hol camp, east of Hasaka canton, stated that this batch is the first one for Syrians wishing to leave the camp which includes 219 people, within 57 families most of them are children and women from Manbij.

The Internal Security Forces will accompany the batch from the camp until it reaches its destination to protect families.

Al-Hol camp is one of the largest camps in the Autonomous Administration regions of NE Syria, and the most dangerous among the camps in the world over presence of thousands of ISIS's families who carry the extremist mentality, according to the latest statistics obtained by ANHA agency in August 2022,  54 thousand and 390 people live in Al-Hol camp; Among them are 27,816 Iraqis, 18,483 Syrians, and 8,091 families of ISIS mercenaries.
