Voting for the presidential and parliamentary elections in its twenty-eighth session began at 8 in the morning, and voting continues until 17:00 in the evening.

Since the morning hours, many politicians, candidates and personalities went to the polls to cast their votes and sent messages calling for the vote and the protection of the ballot boxes.

Where the co-chair of the Democratic Regions Party and the candidate of the left-wing Green Party in Merdin; Saliha Aydiniz and Kurdish politician Ahmet Turk cast their votes.

After the vote, Ahmet Turk stated, "Let these elections be the beginning of a new phase".

The co-chair of the Peoples Democratic Party, Medhat Sanjar, also cast his vote, and sent a message, in which he said: "These elections are not only important for Turkey, but for the whole world. Turkey will, through the will of the people and the elections, block the path in front of the authoritarian government, and thus it will become a model for other countries."

The co-chair of the Democratic Society Conference and the candidate of the left-wing Green Party of the parliamentary elections in Amed, Berdan Ozturk, cast his vote in Al-Anadoll High School in Razan district of Amed.

As for the co-chair of the Democratic People Congress and the candidate of the left-wing Green Party in Istanbul, Cengiz Çîçek, he cast his vote in Istanbul and said: "Today will become a holiday of democracy and freedom".

While Ali Reza Arslan, whose son Hakan Arslan, lost his life during the curfew that was imposed in the Sur district of Amed during the years 2015 and 2016, and then his remains were handed over to him after 7 years in a white bag, cast his vote in the village of Chawish in Ardrum.

Arslan said, "Let everyone vote according to their conscience. It's time for us to get rid of this injustice. Our people should vote based on this point of view, we want our people to vote for themselves".
