Components of Jazera: leader physical freedom is guarantee of stability, security of region

Today, a public event was organized at the March 12 Martyrs' Stadium in the city of Qamishlo, to demand the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and to support the leftist Green Party in the Turkish elections under the slogan "Leader Apo's freedom is an affirmation of democracy and regional stability."

Since the morning hours, mass crowds have traveled from the areas of "Baraf, Dêrik, Girê Legê, Tel Koçer, Çil Agha, Tirbespiya, Tel Hamis, Tell Brak, Hasakah and its environs, Tel Tamer, al-Darbasiyah, al-Shaddadi, al-Hol, and the camps of Washo Kani and Serêkaniyê." in a convoy of buses to the city of Qamishlo to participate in the public event.

Tens of thousands of the components of the Jazera region (Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, and Armenians), mothers and fathers, members and members of civil institutions, women's organizations and movement, political parties in northern and eastern Syria, sheikhs and notables of Arab and Kurdish clans, and representatives of the councils and bodies of the Democratic Autonomous Administration in the Jazera region participated in the mass event.

And upon the arrival of crowds of people to the March 12 Martyrs' Stadium, throats shouted slogans saluting leader Abdullah Ocalan, signaling the start of the mass event.

During the public event, the co-chair of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), Asia Abdullah, spoke and saluted the resistance of the leader Abdullah Ocalan in Imrali, the people of Bakur Kurdistan, and all members of the leftist Green Party who are fighting for the democratization of Turkey through their participation in the Turkish parliamentary and presidential elections to be held in May 14th.

Abdullah noted that 25 years have passed since the strict isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and explained: "The leader has been fighting for 25 years against fascism, occupation policies, regional powers, and international silence regarding what the Kurdish and Kurdistan people are exposed to."

She explained that the leader Ocalan is fighting for the values of the Kurdish people, the freedom of women, democratic peoples, security and peace throughout the region, and he presented the peace project to solve the Kurdish issue and all the region's crises with the philosophy of the democratic nation, "there is a historical resistance centered on Imrali," she stressed.

Abdullah shed light on the struggle of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement, and noted: "50 years have passed since the struggle of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement, in which great sacrifices were made against all fascism methods and forbidden weapons."

Peace, democracy are in danger

Asia Abdullah explained that the physical freedom of the leader Ocalan is the guarantee for the stability and security of the region, and said: "The continuation of the strict isolation will put the peace, democracy and security in constant danger, and the policies of extermination headed by the Justice and Development Party will continue. There is a policy of extermination by the Erdogan government, tens of thousands are arrested as a result of this policy."

Abdullah touched on the parliamentary and presidential elections in Turkey, and noted: "Today all peoples hope that the occupation will be defeated on May 14, so the physical freedom of leader is a guarantee of Turkey's democracy and a peaceful solution to the Kurdish issue through peaceful dialogue."

Abdullah stressed the need to raise the pace of the struggle to break the isolation: “In front of the isolation and torture practiced in Imrali by the Turkish state authorities and the support of the dominant powers for it, and the inaction of the Committee Against Torture, we will remain in the squares to break the strict isolation, and the throats of mothers, women, youth and democratic forces all over the world will resound until achieving the physical freedom of the leader.

She noted: "Our position today is against isolation, and the struggle for the leader's physical freedom is a struggle for humanity in this era, the freedom of all women, and the protection of the values of the people of Kurdistan, and with this hope we will continue our struggle in all arenas."

Abdullah expressed her support for the left-wing Green Party in the elections of Bakur Kurdistan and Turkey, and stated: "We salute the resistance of the people of Turkey and Bakur Kurdistan, which calls for democracy and fights against fascism, the killing of women, war, and the politics of torture and detention. We wish them victory, and we salute the left-wing Green Party voters who are fighting for Their identity and the future of democratic Turkey, and we are confident that the voices of the people of Bakur Kurdistan and Turkey will rally around their will to end fascism."

Pictures of the leader Ocalan and banners reading "There is no life without leader Apo" and the flags of the left-wing Green Party were raised, and the voices of the participants in Kurdish and Arabic shouted slogans saluting Imrali's resistance and affirming their support for the left-wing Green Party.

During the event, the co-chair of the Legislative Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration in the Jazera region, Hikmat Habib, spoke and praised the thought of the leader Abdullah Ocalan in achieving freedom for all peoples and components, and noted: "A quarter of a century has passed since the detention of the leader Ocalan, who carried democratic thought for all components, freedom and democracy for all peoples." .

Habib added: "The Turkish state believed that by arresting the leader Ocalan it would be able to stop the democratic project and the progressive socialist thought, and here we are today fighting together for the brotherhood of peoples and we have reached this stage thanks to the philosophy of the leader.

Habib confirmed that they are continuing their democratic project put forward by leader Ocalan.

Referring to the elections of Bakur Kurdistan and Turkey, Hikmat Habib directed his word to all democratic forces in Turkey and Bakur Kurdistan, and noted: "You are the ones who bear the responsibility today to bring about change in this historical stage, and to get rid of this unjust tyrant."

The public event concluded with the presentation of a new song composed by Hunergeha Welat Studio, titled "DENG" BIDIN", and revolutionary songs by artists Danish Botan, Baran Delbahar and Judy Band.
