KODAR's Co-Chair: May 14 elections will determine fate kurds

Fouad Beritan spoke to ANF News Agency, about the impact of the victory of the leftist Green Party on Turkey and Kurdistan.

He noted the role of KODAR in society and said: "We wanted to develop the organization within the framework of a democratic and confederal system, and to organize ourselves again, so that this organization can contain all segments of society without discrimination.

Beritan mentioned that millions in eastern Kurdistan and Iran are chanting today the slogan "Woman, Life, Freedom," so that it has reached millions of people in the world. It has become a symbol of struggle and resistance to the philosophy that millions of people are chanting today, so in the person of the martyr Sherine Al-Amhouli, we remember all the martyrs, especially the martyrs of the ninth of May.”

The actions of our people in eastern Kurdistan for freedom have gone through many stages, and many leaders and parties have begun to work in order to organize the people, and therefore it was necessary, at this stage, not only to carry out politics in an old traditional manner within the framework of organization, but also to present a new model for organize society.

Elections will affect Kurdistan and the world

Fuad Beritan drew attention to the May 14 elections in Turkey and said: “These elections will determine the fate of the Kurdish people. If they produce good results, they will affect other parts of Kurdistan and the situation of the resistance in Rojava (western Kurdistan), as well, at the same time it will affect the entire society, all institutions and political parties, and the community of eastern Kurdistan and Iran, including Kurds, Arabs, Yazidis, Laz, and Circassians who are fighting against fascism.

The state does not bring a solution. It can be the source of problems in society. The state has narrowed all areas of resistance for the people, and it practices all kinds of injustice and oppression. The Turkish state has the same mentality, and the same thing is in eastern Kurdistan and Iran.

Turn this year into the year of freedom for the leader Abdullah Ocalan and the people

In the year 2023, which is the year of the end of the Lausanne Agreement, we must move and carry out our mission and responsibilities accordingly, then we can turn this year into a year of revival for the peoples of the Middle East, peoples seeking freedom, oppressed peoples, and a year of freedom for Leader Apo.
