SDC: AANES’ initiative at this time in right direction

The co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council made it clear that launching an initiative to solve the Syrian crisis by the Autonomous Administration at this time is a step in the right direction, regardless of the level of response, and that the Autonomous Administration is one of its natural tasks to provide a model for a national solution.

On April 18, the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria launched an initiative to solve the Syrian crisis, consisting of 9 items, in which it affirmed that "a democratic solution should be reached in which all segments of society participate through belief in recognizing the legitimate rights of all components and establishing a pluralistic, democratic, political administrative system decentralization preserves the rights of everyone without exception.

The co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Amina Omar, explained to ANHA’s agency regarding the initiative: "After 12 years of suffering of the Syrian people and the faltering of the political process, and in the context of regional and international changes, any initiative at the present time and the Syrian crisis with this great complexity would contribute to creating appropriate exits.

Regarding their vision of the initiative put forward by the Autonomous Administration, Amina explained that this initiative is based on the principles of the Syrian Democratic Council and its vision for a political solution to the Syrian crisis, such as emphasizing the unity of the Syrian lands and the fair distribution of economic wealth that belongs to all the Syrian people.

Amina Omar highlighted the recent statement of the Autonomous Administration on April 30, about that it is: "ready to help the Syrian refugees in Lebanon, as part of the initiative it launched on April 18 to solve the Syrian crisis," and stressed that the issue of refugees is a very important issue.

Amina Omar indicated, "The issue of refugees is a very important issue, and from the beginning the Autonomous Administration received more than a million displaced people on its lands, and therefore its doors were open to receive the displaced and Syrian refugees, and what confirms this matter is the recent statement of the Autonomous Administration regarding receiving the Syrian refugees who are in Lebanon and who have become a complicated issue there.”

Amina Omar stated: "The Autonomous Administration is an essential partner in the fight against terrorism, and this partnership has resulted in a great victory and achievement in eliminating terrorist organizations, and now the administration confirms in this initiative that it is continuing to combat terrorism, and it is ready to cooperate in combating drugs, this scourge that It is now threatening the Syrian youth, and the youth in neighboring countries."

The co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Amina Omar, affirmed that the Syrian Democratic Council continues to work with the Syrian democratic forces, and is making great efforts to unify visions and expedite ending the tragedy of the Syrian people, achieving their aspirations for freedom, justice and equality, and building a new Syria, Syria for all its sons and daughters.
