ESP co-chair, six others arrested

Within the framework of the political extermination campaigns pursued by the authorities of the Turkish occupation state, the Turkish police arrested a number of people, on April 30, during their raid on many homes. Eskişehir Muslim Koyun, the party's candidate in Izmir, Maryam Yıldırım, the co-chair of ESP Şahin Tumuğlu, the correspondent of the Atkin News Agency (ETHA) Nadia Gurbuz, and the homes of the members of the Socialist Women's Councils (SKM) and the Socialist Youth Associations Federation (SGDF), 23 have been arrested persons during these raids.

The arrested persons were deported yesterday to the Istanbul and Eskişehir judicial offices, because of the media statements, political actions, and reactions against the massacres committed by the Turkish occupation state against the People's Defense Forces through the use of chemical weapons, the Turkish authorities arrested many people in the city of Istanbul, The Public Prosecution had transferred 13 people to the criminal court for the purpose of imprisoning them.

The court decided to imprison the co-chair of the Socialist Party of the Oppressed, Şahin Tumuğlu, the left-wing Green Party candidate, Muslim Koyun, and the editor of the Atkin News Agency (ETHA), Nadia Gurbuz, and five other people, namely: Kalender Polat, Sinem Çelebi, Adnan Özgan, and Selvinaz Koçemz, the candidate of the left-wing Green Party in Eskişehir Muslim Koyon. Others have also been released on the condition of judicial control and stay at home.
