​​​​​​​One million barrels of oil smuggled from Başûr daily

A member of the Parliamentary Energy Committee, Ali Shaddad al-Faris, revealed the quantities of oil that were smuggled from Başûr Kurdistan in one day.

According to Roj News Agency, Ali Shaddad al-Faris confirmed in a televised statement that: "The Region' government smuggles one million barrels of oil per day, and the federal government will review the Kurdistan region’s oil contracts, and the Parliamentary Oil Committee is ignorant of the quantity of oil production in Kurdistan region and the company of SOMO does not know the quantities of oil exported, and that the government deals with the Kurdistan region's oil as smuggled."

Exporting 400 thousand barrels per day

The former deputy in the parliament of Başûr Kurdistan, Abd al-Salam Berwari, also confirmed that "the Kurdistan region exports 400,000 barrels per day, with $69 per barrel, and exports 150,000 barrels from Kirkuk in agreement with the federal government."

And the newspaper (The American Prospect) published a report in late 2021, in which it talks about the enormous wealth that the Barzani family possesses in the United States of America.

The report indicated that Masrour Barzani, who is the position of Prime Minister of Başûr Kurdistan, bought a property in the state of Miami at a value of (18 million) dollars, and the Barzani family owns real estate and companies in the United States of America estimated at (one billion and 27 million dollars) and that they collected these wealth from corruption and selling the region's oil.
