Iraqi MP: There is an urgent need to unit against Turkish attacks

The attacks of the Turkish occupation state on Iraqi lands, especially Başûr (Southern Kurdistan), continue continuously, in light of the silence of the government of Iraq and the region of southern Kurdistan, despite the fact that the occupying state attacks citizens every day.

Regarding the attacks of the Turkish occupation state, the representative of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc in the Iraqi Parliament, Biryr Rashid, spoke to Roj News Agency.

Rashid explained that "it is not the first time that the Turkish state attacked the territory of the Kurdistan region," and continued: "We, as the PUK bloc, strongly condemn these attacks and demand an investigation into the incident, and we will ask the Iraqi parliament to hold a special session on these attacks."

He stated that they "know that there are about 100 military bases of the Turkish state in the Kurdistan region," and added: "Among them are 5 military air bases, about 4 thousand soldiers, and 9 intelligence bases, and there is no such agreement with Iraq."

In the conclusion of his speech, Rashid said: "We must work so that Turkey doesn't remain in the Kurdistan region, and there must be an end to the attacks, and this can only be done with one position, and in order to stop the attacks, the Kurdish blocs must unite in the Iraqi parliament."
