​​​​​​​Hashtag "FreedomForOcalanNow" goes viral in 9 countries

In conjunction with the birth of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, which falls on April 4, the hashtag campaign "#FreedomForOcalanNow" was launched on the virtual communication platforms at exactly 20:00 on the night of April 3 to demand the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The campaign, which lasted for two consecutive days (3-4 April), was launched by 51 institutions, organizations, movements, and parties from the Federations of Democratic Forces in Europe.

Participants in the hashtag campaign shared pictures and words of the leader Abdullah Ocalan in in various languages, which called for lifting the leader's strict isolation and achieving his physical freedom.

The hashtag topped the list of the most popular hashtags on the two virtual communication platforms (Twitter and Facebook) in 9 countries around the world, such as "Turkey, Iraq, Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Australia, Austria, and the Netherlands."

The number of tweets reached 50,000 before the hashtag was banned by the platform management.
