Protesters in Rojhelat light Nowroz torch

The popular uprising continues in Rojhelat (Eastern Kurdistan) and Iran, with the leadership of women and the slogan "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî", in its 7th month, despite the repression practiced by the Iranian state authorities against the protesters.

Protesters demonstrated yesterday (March 17), setting fires in the mountains of Eastern Kurdistan, and calling for the continuation of the uprising, according to Roj News.

The protesters, with the active participation of women, took to the squares after performing Friday prayers in the city of Zahedan, and organized demonstration activities denouncing the practices of the Iranian state."

The agency quoted the imam of the Mecca mosque in Zahedan during Friday prayers as saying that the slogan: "One nation and one religion cannot lead the country, as all governments that carried these slogans have failed to run their countries."

While the protest activities continue in Roghlat in different ways, and in several cities such as Saqqez and Diolan, where a group of mountaineers went to the mountains yesterday, Friday, and declared that they will continue their protest activities until the "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî" (Women, Life, Freedom) uprising is achieved.
