AANES issues circular with advent of Nowroz

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) announced that it had taken a set of measures to be followed with the advent of the Newroz holiday.

AANES's Executive Council issued Circular No. /2/; Regarding the procedures to be followed with the advent of Nowroz.

We ask fellow citizens to cooperate and adhere to the following instructions:

1 - Trucks and tanks of all sizes and types (medium and large) are forbidden to move from 6:00 am on the day of Sunday, 3/19/2023, until 6:00 AM on Wednesday, 3/22/2023

2 - Motorcycles are prohibited even military ones, from Sunday, 3/19/2023 at 6:00 evening until Wednesday 3/22/2023 at 6:00 am.

3- Concerning the internal crossings, the entry of goods of all kinds will be stopped, starting from Sunday 3-19-2023, 6:00 pm until Wednesday 3/22/2023 AD at 6:00 am.

4- The entry and exit of individuals is prohibited, starting from Sunday 3-19-2023 AD at 6:00 pm until Wednesday 3-22-2023 at 6:00 am, with the exception of humanitarian cases.

5- Fire shots by all military personnel, security forces and citizens are forbidden under penalty of legal accountability and confiscation of weapons, even if they were licensed.
