In favor of demographic change..Turkish occupation puts up tents on outskirts of Afrin

Pictures obtained by ANHA agency showed the sitting up hundreds of tents by the so-called "Local Council of Afrin" on the western edge of the occupied city center of Afrin.

" These tents were put up under the pretext of sheltering those affected by the earthquake disaster, in the center of the occupied city, which was not affected by the earthquake in any way, as a prelude to building a settlement, without mentioning any other details about this plan," sources told ANHA reporter.

The Turkish occupation is exploiting the disaster to consolidate the processes of demographic change in occupied Afrin.

A private source from inside the Janders district had told ANHA agency earlier last month that the Turkish occupation state had established camps on the outskirts of the district and the center of the city of Afrin with aim of emptying the area of the indigenous population and settling settlers in their place.

Another source from inside the occupied Afrin canton reported the establishment of the so-called "local council" a new settlement in the village of Qara Taba in the district of Shara through the sitting up 170 tents, as an initial stage.

Sources from occupied Afrin told ANHA agency on March 12 that,  "Associations and organizations that work under the names of "charitable" also provide assistance to the occupation in service of this plan, as the so-called Palestinian Brotherhood "Living in Dignity" Association, in partnership with a Turkish association, began to establish a new settlement in the village of Maratah, 6 km west of the city center of Afrin."
