The Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Jazera region announced the program of Newroz 2023 activities, which will be held under the slogan "With the spirit of Newroz resistance, we liberate the leader Ocalan and defeat the occupation."

The Democratic Autonomous Administration of Jazera region made a statement announcing the Newroz program in 2023 in the cities and districts of Jazera region, It was delivered in front of the Martyr Youssef Gilo roundabout, west of the city of Qamishlo.

In the presence of the co-chair of the Legislative and Executive Councils of the Democratic Autonomous Administration in the region and its Bodies, and representatives of the Kongra Star, who wore their folkloric clothes, the statement was read in both Kurdish by Ramziya Muhammad, member of the Kongra Star Coordination Council, and in Arabic by the co-chair of the Executive Council in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Jazera region, Talaat Younes.

The statement indicated that the Newroz celebrations will be held in 7 areas in the Jazera region, which are: "Dirk in Newroz Square in Buzi Dam, Girkê legê, Tirbespiyê in Martyr Mazloum Dogan Square in Mezkift, Qamishlo in Hemo Newroz Square, Amuda in Newroz Square of Jagir Bazar, and Darbasiya in Newroz Square in Jolebistan, and Hasaka in Newroz Square."

According to the statement, the celebrations will be held under the slogan "with the spirit of Newroz resistance, we will liberate leader Ocalan and defeat the occupation".

The celebrations will begin in the aforementioned areas at 10 am, and will include speeches and various artistic activities.

The statement recalled "the martyrs of our revolution, and we stand in honor of their greatness, who wrote with their courage the most wonderful epics of heroism and sacrifice for the sake of freedom and peace," and blessed the coming of Newroz to all the people of NE Syria, the families of the martyrs, and the military and security forces.

At the end of the statement, the flame of Newroz 2023 was lit by; Mothers and fathers of martyrs and participants in the statement.
