The Coordination of the Kurdistan Women's Organization (KJK) issued a written statement today about the poisoning of female students in Iran and eastern Kurdistan (Rojhilat), and it was published by the Furat news agency (ANF).

The text of the system statement reads as follows:

After the killing of the Kurdish young woman, Gina Amini, on September 16, 2022, by the Iranian state, the uprising began in Iran, based on the slogan “Jin, Jiyan, Azadî” (Women, Life, Freedom), and it is still continuing until now in various ways and means. This uprising was supported by a lot from Kurdistan, the Middle East and all over the world, and above all we salute the women, the people, the women's movements, the popular movements, the forces of democracy and freedom, the artists, the intellectuals, the youth, the politicians, the athletes who participated in the "women's" uprising, life, freedom" and support it, as we believe in this thing, that Iran has a deep culture in the history of humanity, especially women's freedom, as it was able to create a life based on freedom, justice and equality among peoples, it will strongly influence societies and all women in the Middle East and in the world as a whole .

Certainly, the Iranian state, which formed its social policies on the basis of the hostility of women and peoples, and implemented them in an unjust manner at this time, and these practices increased dramatically with the recent uprisings, is an example of this. The death penalty has now become one of the most brutal punishments for humanity. In addition, there are many practices that push women out of life, paralyze people’s will, arrest them, subject them to severe torture, deport them, impose financial fines on them, do not secure them work, and carry out many similar practices against women, and the people, just as Iran links every uprising and revolution that takes place with external forces. Without a doubt, the main reason for the uprisings in Iran is; It is its own policies. The Iranian state imagines that no matter how hard it is on women and societies, it will be able to achieve great results and guarantee state authority, but the events that take place show the opposite. The policies of pressure and repression escalate the anger of women and society, and it rises up more, the more it increases its hostile policies against Peoples and women, the uprising of women and peoples is escalating even more.

In recent days, it has been reported in the media about the poisoning of thousands of girls with poison gas in the universities of Iran and Kurdistan, and at least 4 young girls lost their lives. Kurdish women and people know very well how chemical weapons were used in history and what they mean.

As everyone knows, the Turkish occupation state used chemical weapons in Dersim in 1938, and the Baath regime used them in many cities and villages in southern Kurdistan, the most dangerous of which was in Halabja, and it caused thousands of Kurds to be massacred, and in the recent period the fascist Turkish occupation state used chemical weapons Against the guerrilla fighters in Zap and Avaşîn since 2022, all international laws were violated and with the approval of these institutions, dozens of Guerrilla were martyred with chemical weapons in caves and trenches.

Now, with the same mentality, gas is used by the Iranian state against thousands of female students in universities organized with fraudulent schemes. Thousands of female students were poisoned with gas and taken to hospitals. The state responded to university professors who wanted to show this situation by arresting and dismissing them and not paying their salaries. The state does not investigate in any way. In the events that took place, and it is not a coincidence that these situations occurred in all Iranian universities in the last month, and it is understood from this situation that although the Iranian state shows itself that it is far from these incidents and is looking for criminals, only the state can in this way organize these attacks, these attempts at massacre, there is news that the state forces themselves are the ones who organized these poisoning incidents, and carried out these actions on young women studying in Tehran, Kermanshan, Tabriz, Sunnah, Isfahan and many universities, and the state says "We protect the society and the people, but if they rose up against us and staged revolutions, we would commit massacres by various means at that time.

As is well known, young women studying at universities have led the “women, life, freedom” uprising that has escalated in recent months. This is why the Iranian state organized these poisoning incidents; With the aim of intimidating young women and keeping them away from universities and keeping them at home, with the mentality of masculine authority, and has caused thousands of young women to be transferred to hospitals.

The Iranian dictatorship is very much afraid and worried about women's freedom. They have resorted to such a brutal, dangerous and inhumane method in order to prevent women from acquiring knowledge, practicing profession, advancing and participating in social and democratic life and freedom struggle. Of course, the main policy of the current fascist Mullahs' regime is that Women will always remain from the second class, and on this basis they practice politics.

There are messages that must be directed to society in the person of young women, basically, in Iran, the different beliefs and peoples, Kurds and Baluchis in Iran are threatened, trying to silence them and trying to create a unified national system and impose the current fascist social policies, this is the reason for poisoning young women, executing them and arresting and torturing thousands of the people.

As the Kurdistan Women's Organization (KJK), we strongly condemn these oppressive and inhumane policies of the Iranian state.

Gas poisoning in places where young women study in universities, and the arrest of teachers protesting against these events is totally unacceptable. The Iranian state must abandon these hostile policies it has developed against young women, and the state must treat women and peoples equally and non-discriminately. Women, peoples and different beliefs will no longer accept discrimination, inequality, oppression and torture, even Kurdistan, the Middle East and the women's movements that struggle in the world, and the forces of democracy and freedom will never accept that. As long as these current policies continue, the spirit of the uprising and the stance of resistance against the Iranian state will prevail. Always everywhere, of course, not only teachers, but the whole society should not accept these poisoning incidents of young women, they should always be in the squares, women and our people should organize themselves and protect themselves.

At the end of these events, under the leadership of women, the forces of freedom and popular democracy will fill the squares with more anger and ambition, and will constantly resist and rise up.

On this occasion, we would like to stress once again that we, as Kurdish women's movements, stand by the women and people of Iran, and the people of Kurdistan and Baluchistan.

The struggle for the freedom of women, faith groups and peoples in Iran, based on the philosophy of "woman, life, freedom", will take serious steps and spread it in the Middle East and the world and will achieve great victories. As the Kurdish women's movement, wherever there is oppression, persecution and exploitation, we will stand against it.

We are entering a new period for Newroz, every Newroz is a new beginning of freedom for us, it means escalating the pace of resistance and uprising against tyrants and dictators, it is the day of resurrection, and in the year 2023, our people must be able to express their will and their colors strongly in the squares, and every Kurd must In Northern Kurdistan, Eastern Kurdistan, Rojava, and Southern Kurdistan, and in every geography in which our people live, celebrate Newroz in a majestic and magnificent way. Newroz squares must be transformed into places where the spirit of freedom and resistance is at its peak. On this basis, from now on, we bless Newroz for our women. And our people, and on this basis, we say once again, "Women, life, freedom."
