AA of Jazera and Civil Council of Deir Al-zor: In the spirit of the uprising, we will continue the struggle

This came in the words of co-chair of the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Jazera region, Talaat Younis, and the deputy co-presidency of the Deir Al-zor Civil Council, Fathy al-Aatoush, during speeches delivered during the anniversary ceremony of the March 12 massacre and uprising, organized on the grounds of the March 12 uprising martyrs stadium in the city of Qamishlo.

And in the details; Talaat Younis, recalled in his speech all the martyrs of the revolution of freedom and democracy and the brotherhood of peoples in the person of the martyrs of the March 12 massacre and uprising who sacrificed themselves against the brutality of the Baathist authorities, in order to achieve freedom, and offered condolences to the families of the martyrs.

Talaat Younis explained that the March 12 uprising that broke out in Qamishlo expanded to all of Rojava, Damascus, Aleppo and Europe, adding that "during which the people called together the slogan (no to the policies of extermination and strife between the components), and had one position against the authoritarian and chauvinistic mentality, and they stood together against all those who seek to turn it into a massacre."

And he continued: "No capitalist force will be able to defeat the values, history, unity and resistance of peoples, and the March 12 uprising is the best proof of that."

Stressing that the people of the region have proven their will through their struggle against the policies of genocide and sedition to achieve a free and democratic Syria, he said: "The Qamishlo uprising turned into a basis for breaking the wall of fear among all the Syrian people, and a basis for the Syrians to stand against the policies of the authority, and a basis for the July 19 revolution in Rojava, NE Syria."

Talaat Younis explained that the regimes that have a hand in the extermination of peoples will not be able to continue their policies in the face of the resistance and will of the peoples, and he continued: "Several days ago, the same mentality happened against the Amed Sport team, this mentality and fascism will fail, and in the spirit of the Qamishlo uprising, we will continue the democracy revolution to build a democratic Syria."

 As for the deputy co-presidency of the Deir Al-zor Civil Council, Fathy al-Aatoush, he condemned the massacre that took place on March 12, 2004 in the Qamishlo stadium, and said: "These events were planned to create discord between the Kurdish and Arab components."

He stressed that the people of Deir Al-zor are fully aware that this conspiracy and sedition is planned to create confusion between the two components, and "Today we in NE Syria are one people and one blood, and we don't allow any party to sow any sedition between us, as we fought terrorism in all its forms together, therefore, the people will remain united with the Syrian Democratic Forces, and our AANES will remain steadfast, and our forces will remain steadfast in the face of all challenges."
