Mass gathering in Damascus on occasion of International Women's Day

 The people from the various neighborhoods and countryside of the Syrian capital, Damascus, gathered in Martyrs' Square in the Zor Ava neighborhood.

 After a minute of silence, a number of speeches were delivered in the gathering on behalf of the representatives of the participating delegations, including the speech of the member of the Kongra Star Coordination in Damascus, Newroz Khalil, the member of the Council of Martyrs' Families, Gule Darwish, the member of the Council of the Democratic Union Party, Rojlat Ahmed, and the member of the Council of the Zor Ava neighborhood Zainab Muhammad.

 The speeches congratulated all the participants on the occasion of the eighth of March, International Women's Day, and also congratulated the leader Abdullah Ocalan and the female fighters on the battle fronts.

 The words also confirmed that the March 8 is the day of women's struggle for their freedom and liberation from the shackles of slavery and male mentality.

 A group of poems centered on women's struggle were recited during the gathering.

 The gathering ended with singing performances presented by the Martyr Sarhad Band, which accompanied the holding of Dabkeh rings.
