​​​​​​​SDF suspends military operations, but Turkish state continues its attacks

 The earthquake that hit Bakur Kurdistan, Rojava Kurdistan, Syria and Turkey on February 6th changed all agendas in the region and the world, and attracted the attention of the whole world to these regions.  The earthquake in the regions of north and east Syria was the main topic on the agenda of the Autonomous Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces.  As they harnessed all their capabilities to serve the community, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria prepared humanitarian aid to be sent to the stricken areas affected by the earthquake, but the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries prevented the passage of this aid.

In light of this situation;  The Syrian Democratic Forces stopped all their military operations, and prepared for social and humanitarian emergencies, by equipping special teams for rapid interventions. In the aftermath of the earthquake, the Syrian Democratic Forces expressed their readiness to send their special teams to all the affected Syrian lands and occupied areas to rescue the people from under the rubble.

 Since February 6.. 18 ground attacks and two air attacks

 Although the Syrian Democratic Forces showed their willingness to provide assistance, the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries and the Damascus government did not allow the crossing of the special teams into the areas affected by the earthquake, whether occupied or under the control of the Damascus government.  Rather, they went further in their inhumanity, intensified their attacks in light of this earthquake disaster, and launched 18 ground attacks and two air attacks on northern and eastern Syria within 18 days since the earthquake occurred. These attacks resulted in the death of two citizens and the injury of many people, and one of them was, at the age of 70, had been displaced to the al-Shahba area of ​​the city of Aleppo.  Because of the earthquake, he was martyred in the attacks of the Turkish occupation state on al-Shahba.

 The attacks of the Turkish occupation state in light of the disasters

 The Turkish occupation state has always continued its attacks without interruption.  Not only in light of the earthquake disaster, but also during the Corona pandemic, so in 2021-2022, while the whole world was busy dealing with this pandemic, the Turkish occupation state launched 18,733 ground attacks, 209 drone attacks, and 43 air attacks with warplanes, while these attacks resulted in   killing 353 civilians and significant material damage was caused.

 8 operations against ISIS cells

Concurrently, ISIS cells increased their activity, which prompted the Syrian Democratic Forces to carry out 8 operations in the regions of north and east Syria.  As a result, 8 mercenaries were arrested and a number of them were killed.

 They did not deal positively with regard to the issue of the special rescue teams

 The official Spokesperon of the media center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (QSD), Farhad Shami, explained that since the beginning of the earthquake;  The forces were ready to provide humanitarian aid. It was revealed that they tried to send special teams in (QSD) to the Syrian areas under the control of the Damascus government and the areas occupied by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries, but the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries and the Damascus government didn't have  positive position about this  Shami commented on their position, pointing out that, according to international and social laws, preventing intervention to rescue people from under the rubble is a crime.

 The weak position and shy voice of the coalition, emboldened the occupiers

 Shami touched on the issue of stopping military operations, explaining that this is a moral and humanitarian duty, "The Turkish state took advantage of our decision to stop military operations. The Turkish state has never stopped the war against our people and our regions. We criticized the international forces in the region previously. Its shy position that gives the Turkish state more audacity to continue its attacks.

 Human appeals are used to serve the war

Shami pointed out that the Turkish occupation state sought to exploit the humanitarian calls of regional and international powers to serve the war, as it continues its attacks even in this situation, and stated that it seeks to weaken the Syrian Democratic Forces with these attacks to occupy the region and frustrate the people, and said: "These attacks are caused by the state's fear  Turkey, especially the Erdogan government.
