​​​​​​​Entry of an aid convoy provided by Sulaymaniyah people to al-Shahba canton

After five days of obstacles and impediments imposed by the Damascus government checkpoints, a convoy of 7 trucks loaded with medical and relief supplies and infant formula entered the besieged al-Shahba district, provided by the people of the city of Sulaymaniyah within the framework of the campaign ((Nawasikum).

The Kurdish Red Crescent, in coordination with the Social Affairs Authority in al-Shahba canton, received the convoy, and the aid is scheduled to be distributed to the displaced from Afrin and those affected by the earthquake.

In a statement to our agency, Hassan Nabo, the administrator of the Kurdish Red Crescent in al-Shahba canton, thanked the efforts and endeavors of the people of Başûr Kurdistan and the people of Sulaymaniyah in particular, and their support for those affected by the earthquake and the displaced from Afrin besieged by the Damascus government.

Nabo stressed that the aid will be distributed immediately and quickly to the affected and displaced people of Afrin.
