​​​​​​​Watfa: Ocalan transcended national affiliations, set out to be international leader

 Leader Abdullah Ocalan was kidnapped in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, on February 15, 1999, as a result of an international conspiracy involving the forces of capitalist hegemony.

 In this regard, a member of the Political Bureau of the National Coordination Body - Movement for Democratic Change, Ziad Watfa, spoke about the policies pursued by the conspiring forces against leader Ocalan and the isolation imposed on him.

 He said, "The Syrian reality is divided and lives in a state of confusion and intellectual chaos, as a result of the policies that were practiced on the people of the region a century ago. It no longer has the ability to distinguish between an intellectual leader who transcends national affiliations to launch himself into the international arena."

 Ocalan's vision exceeded his national affiliation

 He added, "More than three decades ago, an experiment that the people undertook under the leadership of Communism and the Russian Communist Party, which built the Organization of Socialist Countries, fell. That fall created a void within the framework of the people's struggle for freedom, peace, and liberation from the clutches of domination, and Leader Ocalan tackled the task of filling the void, through  his presentation of a vision that does not aim at liberating the Kurdish people alone and building their national entity, which is considered their basic right, but rather transcends their national affiliations to liberate the people of the region from forms of tyranny and domination, and liberate it from regimes that join the forces of global domination and capitalist modernity, by introducing the concept of a democratic nation.  Through it, he wants the region to move from cases of assimilation, marginalization, genocide, and national and class oppression to a state of peaceful coexistence for the well-being of peoples.

 Believers in the thought of leader Ocalan

 He continued, "We do not try to sanctify the individual, and we do not repeat idol, but rather we salute, believe and fight alongside an ideology that stems from the dungeons, and from oppression and suffering for the sake of peoples and not for the sake of personal privileges and interests."

Peace is the destruction of tyrannical regimes

 He added, "Whoever sees the emergence of the PKK and monitors the performance of the Turkish political system, notes that every attempt by leader Ocalan, a Kurdish revolutionary leader, or Arab movements, and every initiative that wants dialogue to reach a peaceful solution for the region, Turkey responds to with war, as peace is the destruction of tyrannical regimes in the region."

 Pointing out, "Leader Ocalan was not targeted as a person, but rather as a symbol and leader of the project for the renaissance of the people of the region, and overcoming the state of enslavement in which they live."

 They isolated him because his word shakes the pillars of tyrannical regimes

 Ziyad Watfa said regarding isolation, "A word from Leader Ocalan shakes the pillars of tyrannical regimes, because it illuminates paths and stimulates the forces of peoples, so isolation is imposed on him, to prevent his word from reaching the peoples who believe in him, and to defend their thrones."

 Action must be taken to achieve the freedom of leader Ocalan

Member of the National Coordination Body - Movement for Democratic Change, Ziad Watfa, concluded his speech by saying, "The activists in the world and the forces fighting for peace and freedom and those seeking to overthrow tyrannical regimes in all their forms, morally, militarily and humanly, are required to join the campaign to demand the freedom of leader Ocalan, to cooperate and raise their voices from  In order to grant physical freedom to the leader.
