On anniversary of international conspiracy.. K. Star: leader's freedom must be achieved

In a statement, Kongra Star referred to the 24th anniversary of the international conspiracy, as a result of which the leader Abdullah Ocalan was arrested in a dirty plan, on February 15, 1999 and was handed over to the Turkish state.

It explained, "Whereas the policy of extermination and erasure continues from then until now, it (i.e. the conspiring states) practices various types of torture in Imrali prison in the person of leader Ocalan, including strict isolation."

The Council added: "The conspiring states have planned to continue the system of hegemony in the Middle East, and have harnessed all their capabilities to implement the Greater Middle East project in the face of the democratic nation project presented by leader Ocalan, in order to extend their hegemony over the region to preserve its dominance and interests through a dirty, immoral war," noting, "it also wages a military, economic, psychological, and biological war; to change the demographics of the Mesopotamian region."

The Council went on to say: "But despite all the plans of the Turkish state and all these attacks, violation of human rights laws, along with  the leader's age which exceeded 73 years, in addition to depriving him of all his legitimate rights, the conspiracy was thwarted by the exceptional resistance waged by the leader Ocalan, the creator of free life in Imrali prison," stressing, "that resistance, which resonated throughout the Middle East and the world with the thought and philosophy of the democratic nation project, has become today the way to solve all social problems and the guarantor of the rights of all peoples, based on the principle of brotherhood of peoples, freedom and democracy.

'It's time for leader Ocalan's freedom'

The Kongra Star Council strongly condemned the international conspiracy, and called on the international forces and all human rights organizations, especially the Committee Against Torture, to assume their humanitarian and moral responsibilities to put pressure on the Turkish state by allowing lawyers to visit Imrali urgently and providing clear information about the situation of leader Ocalan, as no information has been received for 23 months, "This matter raises our concerns especially after this earthquake," the Council cleared.

It also called on the peoples of the region and the world and all those calling for freedom, democracy and peace to rally around leader Ocalan and escalate the struggle and freedom to lift the isolation and achieve his freedom.
