Damascus govt steals relief materials, insults affected people in Lattakia

The security services of the Damascus government arrested a citizen who criticized how those agencies forced relief aid distributors to obtain security approval in order to be able to distribute aid to those affected by the devastating earthquake.

The citizen had earlier exposed the inhumane actions of those devices, which he said were stealing relief materials.

According to the Syrian Observatory, those in charge of distributing relief aid dealt with the affected people in an inappropriate manner, as the aid was thrown in Jableh, in Lattakia countryside, in a humiliating manner.

Some sources said that items of relief materials are being sold on stalls in Damascus, Latakia, and various Syrian cities, and on the other hand, aid has not reached dozens of affected villages and towns.

The people of the villages near Latakia demanded handing over aid to qualified persons in order to distribute it fairly to those who need it over the lack of confidence in the integrity of Damascus government officials who are working to steal it in the absence of censorship.
