AANES declares suspension of working hours in all schools, institutions until Thursday

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria AANES announced the suspension of working hours in all schools and institutions affiliated with the Autonomous Administration, starting from Monday, February 6, 2023, until Thursday, February 9, 2023.

On Monday, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria issued a statement announcing the suspension of working hours in schools and institutions until next Thursday, in which it stated:

"Based on what the region is witnessing in general, in North and East Syria in particular, after the earthquake that hit the region, and out of concern for the safety of our people in North and East Syria.

All schools and institutions affiliated with the Autonomous Administration will be closed, starting, Monday, February 6, 2023, until Thursday, February 9, 2023 inclusive.

Institutions and departments in which work must continue are excluded from the decision.

We also call on our people to exercise caution and take refuge in the squares if they feel another earthquake."
