​​​​​​​Protests in Suluk district after raising the price of bread from 10 to 20 Turkish liras

A local source from the occupied Girê Spî canton told ANHA agency's reporter that the so-called "local council" in the occupied Girê Spî has doubled the price of a bundle of bread in Suluk district, in a decision it issued today.

This comes in light of the difficult living conditions that citizens suffer from, the high cost of living, and the control of the occupation and its mercenaries over livelihoods.

The reporter indicated that the price of bread was raised in Suluk district only, as it was sold for 10 Turkish liras, and it rose to 20 Turkish liras (7,200 Syrian pounds).

The source confirmed to the reporter that this decision was rejected by the people, and that there were calls for demonstrations to condemn this decision.

Our agency published earlier that the mercenaries of Ahrar al-Sharqiya affiliated with the Turkish occupation, who control the district, stole the people's allowances from the bakeries and sold them to them on the sidewalks through merchants to be sold in double price.
