International delegation against isolation meets Ocalan’s lawyer

An international delegation against isolation, consisting of 36 people, including jurists, journalists and academics from seven different countries, gathered regarding the isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan and headed to Turkey. This delegation will meet on January 25 and 27 with civil society organizations and political circles in Istanbul, Ankara and Amed. Twelve of them met with the lawyer of the leader, Abdullah Ocalan, at the Al-Asr Human Rights Office in Istanbul.

The delegation was received by lawyers Radia Ozturk, Cengiz Yorkli, and Razan Sarija. The meeting will last for two hours. The lawyers of Al-Asr Human Rights Office will focus on these topics: “The stage of the international conspiracy, when the leader was imprisoned in Imrali and the people who had a role in that conspiracy, and the isolation he is exposed to.” The leader for 24 years, their reviews over a period of 22 months without obtaining any information about the leader Ocalan, Turkey's position, the findings of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe and the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture in Detention Centers (CPT) and concerns and concerns about the recent visit

The meeting will be closed to the press, during which the temporary intervention decision of the United Nations Human Rights Committee (NY) regarding leader Abdullah Ocalan and the developments of the request will be evaluated.

After the meeting is over, the delegation is expected to visit the Human Rights Association (ÎHD).
