​​​​​​​General Council of AA calls on Syrians to solve their problems without external dictates

 Reactions continue to reject the rapprochement between the Damascus government and the Turkish occupation state, which occupies large areas of Syrian territory and continues the processes of demographic change and support for mercenary groups.

 In this context, the deputy co-chair of the General Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Yasser Al-Suleiman, questioned "the intentions of the meeting under the auspices of Russia."

 "Such meetings do not serve the interest of the people of Syria, but the expansionist ambitions that the Turkish occupation state is planning," Al-Suleiman said.

 Al-Suleiman indicated that the Damascus government's goal of this rapprochement is to "disrupt the democratic process and restore the situation to before 2011, when violations occurred and citizens did not obtain their freedom, rights, and what guarantees their dignity on Syrian soil."

 Regarding the negotiating position of the Damascus government, Al-Suleiman said, "The Syrian regime is unable to defend the Syrian lands, making more concessions to the Turkish regime, which seeks to gnaw at more Syrian lands."

 Al-Suleiman recalled the position of the Syrian Democratic Council, in which it urged "all honorable Syrians and the moderate opposition to return to live in the Autonomous Administration areas, to close ranks and unify the word in the face of the dangers arising from the coordination between Russia, the Syrian regime and Turkey."

Al-Suleiman stressed that this rapprochement "complicates matters further, and is a factor for instability, nor does it allow the reconstruction of Syria."

 Al-Suleiman called on the Syrians to "sit at the national dialogue table that unites the Syrians, guarantees their freedom, preserves their dignity, and aspirations to live in peace in a democratic, pluralistic, and decentralized Syria."

 Al-Suleiman appealed to all honorable, free Syrians to rally around the national self-administration project, settle outstanding issues and settle differences, and said, "We - the Syrians - solve our problems by ourselves and write our future constitution with our own hands without external dictates or meetings that are not in the interest of the Syrian people."
