​​​​​​​Turkey's arrogance will collapse before the logic of the people and the history that Ocalan represents

Since March of last year, the Turkish occupation state has been concealing the status of leader Ocalan, who has been detained on Imrali Island since the late nineties of the last century.

The occupying power imposes arbitrary measures on the leader, prevents his family and lawyers from meeting him, and stresses his isolation. Even the European Committee Against Torture, in its last visit to Imrali prison, did not make any statement explaining the leader's situation in Imrali.

In this context, the Libyan writer and novelist, Ahmed Tohamy, confirmed that all of Turkey's arrogance will collapse before the logic of the people and the logic of history that Ocalan represents, considering that the leader represents a shortcut to the dreams and aspirations of the Kurds.

International silence

Regarding the silence of the international powers on Turkey's practices against the leader Ocalan, Tohamy believes that the world, as usual, bows before military force, noting that the world was once nothing but a gathering of empires that completely subjugated people. Turkey is also oppressing the Kurds, pointing out at the same time that there is a popular, not official, global public opinion that condemns Turkish brutality against Ocalan.

According to the Libyan writer, most of the international human rights organizations are funded by the European Union with its various elements or by the State Department and the US Congress, which makes them move according to the policies of these parties. Pointing out that silence in a case like Ocalan's case reveals the true face of these organizations and that they are nothing but a political tool for the major powers to move them whenever they want.
