​​​​​Iraqi writer and critic: Baghdad Summit 2 has an ambiguous framework and objectives

 The Iraqi writer and critic Sati Raji assessed the internal situation in Iraq, the interventions of regional and international powers in the country, and the "Baghdad Summit 2", which ended last Tuesday in the Jordanian capital in Iraq, in which Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman participated, along with Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Qatar and the occupying state.  Turkey, Iran, Iraq and France.

 Raji told our agency, "The framework under which the Baghdad Summit 2 was held is still vague, as well as the objectives, and I mean here the nature of this system that presents itself regionally and internationally, as there is no stability in the goals, vision, and level of organization, so sometimes supporting Iraq is the only goal of the group and its summits, while it is  coordination at the level of the region and even the world, because of the French role, is the goal on other occasions.

 In the Iraqi internal context, Raji explained, "The conflict between the Iraqi forces is intertwined and complex. It ranges between historical and strategic issues, personal rivalries, partisan competition for authoritarian positions, and a personal race over interests, contracts, and investment opportunities. Therefore, what appears on the surface of conflicts differs from what is going on in depth.  Political forces often shock observers when solutions to some complexes come in a place or file different from the file over which the dispute is taking place, and some general disputes are ignored or frozen as a result of partisan and individual interests and agreements, so no dispute in Iraq actually ends.

 He added in the same context, "The situation in Iraq today, as it was before, is open to all expectations and the possibilities of rapid changes have increased due to two factors, the first of which: the presence of the Sadrists outside the government, and the second: that the alliances that established the government are fragile and suffer from differences between its components, whether in the Shiite coordination framework."  Or in the state management coalition.

 The Iraqi writer and critic ruled out that the current government in Iraq would be able to get the country out of its crises.  From external influences, it is not really an issue.

 Concerning the role of international powers in Iraq, Raji said, "Summarizing the interests of these and other countries in a short answer is not easy, as there is a package of interests for each country, both security and economic, and related to water and the internal conditions of these countries, as well as what is related to the oil and energy file in general."  .

 Regarding the Turkish occupation of large areas within the Iraqi borders and its attacks on southern Kurdistan, Raji stressed that there is no seriousness to deal with these attacks and occupation, and said, "As for the Turkish military campaigns, they are dealt with in the media only in a way that is directed to the inside, and I do not think that they will stop soon, as it is not expected to take action  A sharp Iraqi position towards it.
