​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Protest by HDP deputies in front of the Ministry of Justice to protest isolation

The co-chair of the Democratic Society Congress Berdan Ozturk and the MPs of the Peoples' Democratic Party walked; Omer Ocalan, Falak Naz Oca, Dylan Derayt Tash Demir, Şefin Coşkun, Golestan Kilic Koce Yigit, Sezai Temli, Abdullah Koc, Nuran Amir, Huseyin Kagmaz and Ardal Ay Demir to the Turkish Ministry of Justice.

The police intercepted the delegation near the ministry building. During the march, banners were raised reading "Isolation is a crime against humanity," "Let the laws be applied in Imrali," and "Lawyers should go to Imrali."

The delegation issued a statement regarding the event. The co-chair of the Democratic Society Conference, Berdan Ozturk, referred to the tightening of isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan day after day and said: "No information has been received about him for nearly two years. A delegation of the European Committee against Torture visited the island a few days ago, but it did not issue any statement in this regard."

Ozturk continued his speech, saying: "The lawyers of the Legal Age Office revealed that Mr. Ocalan did not meet the delegation of the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture. This raised concerns among our people about his health and his life. This approach is a violation of domestic and international law. In exchange for this isolation, which has reached a critical stage, we call on our people and the democratic forces to stand against isolation by expressing their position in words and organizing events as well.

Berdan Ozturk said, "Listening to Mr. Ocalan's voice reinforces hope for social peace and Turkey's future," and indicated that leader Abdullah Ocalan plays a prominent and decisive role in this context.

The text of the statement read: "The authorities must allow Mr. Ocalan to meet with his lawyer immediately. The law must be applied to Mr. Abdullah Ocalan from now on. Therefore, we reject, as MPs, this isolation, which has reached a critical stage, and we will not stand by anymore."

Ozturk indicated that they will continue to stay in front of the Ministry of Justice until the leader Abdullah Ocalan is allowed to see his lawyer and said: "Isolation should not be exploited in daily politics. The approach followed in Imrali is for us an attitude towards democracy, law and human dignity. From now on, this approach will affect all "Our political decisions. From now on, we will not listen to misleading statements and statements about isolation. Tangible steps must be taken. Event will continue until the result is achieved. Isolation is death and annihilation. Either we make a way together, or we find a way together."

After the statement, the vigil began in front of the Turkish Ministry of Justice building.
