​​​​​​​Bakr Alo: Erdogan wants to consolidate his power, even if sacrificing Turkish people

 The Turkish occupation escalated its attacks on northern and eastern Syria since the night of November 19-20, with warplanes, artillery and missile shells, in addition to internationally prohibited weapons, primarily targeting citizens and infrastructure.

 In a statement to our agency, the co-chair of the Executive Council of the Afrin region, Bakr Alo, spoke about the Turkish occupation's attacks with warplanes, artillery and missile shells on al-Shahba areas in particular, and on northern and eastern Syria in general.

 Alo began his speech by referring to the role of the Turkish occupation in the Syrian crisis, "Turkey has played the worst roles in Syria, since the beginning of its crisis, as it wanted to implement its occupation plans at the expense of the people of the region and their gains to destroy its infrastructure."

 He added, "The Turkish occupation dismantled the Syrian fabric, and harnessed some parties to implement its colonial agendas for thwarting the project of the democratic nation and undermining the will of peoples yearning for freedom."

 Alo asserted that "the party (AKP MHP) fabricated a farce and carried out a bombing on Taksim Street in Istanbul to change the position of the Turkish street in its favor before the parliamentary and presidential elections to be held next year," calling on "international forces and the Turkish people to realize the fact that the Istanbul bombing is one of  The making of Turkish intelligence.

"The Turkish occupation resorted to intimidation after failing politically, economically and diplomatically," Alo said, noting that "Erdogan wants to consolidate his power even if the price is sacrificing the Turkish people."

 "The Turkish occupation targets civilians before the military, and this is another war to follow in northern and eastern Syria," he said.

  He noted, "The fascist Turkish occupation state supports and finances terrorism, and that the world, especially Russia and America, is aware of that, but for its own interests, it supports Turkey, turns a blind eye to its actions and stands with it," stressing that "its aggression has expanded with the support and approval of Russia and America, by air and on the ground, it opens the way for the revival of ISIS.”

 He added, "Turkey is taking advantage of Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, in its aggression against the Syrian lands, and is committing war crimes against its people."

 At the end of his speech, the co-chair of the Executive Council of the Afrin region, Bakr Alo, stressed "the continuation of the struggle and resistance in the face of the Turkish occupation."
