​​​​​​​TEV-DEM blesses PKK's 44th Anniversary; calls for uniting efforts in the face of occupation

The Democratic Society Movement TEV-DEM issued a statement, Saturday, on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the founding of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), in which it congratulated the leader Abdullah Ocalan, all members and leaders of the party, all guerrilla fighters, detainees, families of martyrs and the general people of Kurdistan. This stage is in dire need of a real intellectual, social and political leadership capable of saving society from genocide and cultural melting from the clutches of the systematic Turkish fascist policies.”

It added, "The real leadership is the one who laid the foundations and scientific principles for building a social, libertarian, democratic revolution based on self-possession after an analytical and historical strategic study carried out by leader Abdullah Ocalan with a group of ideological and intellectual comrades."

It pointed out that "the birth of the party was a painful response to fascism and the beginning of a new dawn for our Kurdish people, and the beginning of building the stage of the great national transformation in restoring hope and trust among all segments of our Kurdish society and working to reunite the arrangement and organization of the Kurdish house; to turn into a pioneering Kurdish national liberation revolution." Women and youth, a revolution that chose for itself the path of resistance and hard struggle towards freedom, to represent the will of the peoples yearning for freedom in the region and the world.

It continued, "Despite the plots targeting the PKK and the bloody attacks launched by the Turkish occupation state, the Kurdistan Liberation Movement has remained true to its commitment to resistance and sacrifice."

TEV-DEM saluted the history of resistance to the PKK and its national, humanitarian and moral stances, "We salute our Kurdish people and all societal components and all the free people in the world with their moral and moral support and insistence on the freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, who represents the source of solutions to all issues and the People’s Defense Forces that defend historical and cultural values heroic resistance.

At the end of the statement, the statement called "all national and political forces and civil society actors to unite efforts and positions against the terrorist attacks of the Turkish occupation state on North and East Syria and Rojava, targeting the infrastructure and economics and imposing a relentless war."
