​​​​​​​K. Star invites to establish global women front is unbreakable against Turkish occupation attacks

This came during a written statement issued by the Kongra Star coordination, and we received a copy of it. It said:

Appeal to the women of the world: Defend Rojava against attacks by the Turkish state.

On Saturday evening (November 20, 2022), the Turkish state launched a series of air raids on Rojava, northern Syria, the Qandil Mountains and Asos in Southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq). These attacks resulted in the martyrdom of 11 civilians and the injury of six others.

The Turkish state also claims that these attacks, which it called "Operation Claw of the Sword", came in retaliation for the bombing attack that took place in Istanbul on November 13, which killed six people. The speech of the Minister of the Interior was 6 hours after the bombing, in which he blamed Rojava, and went even further, claiming the involvement of the United States as well, claiming responsibility for this attack through its military support for the Syrian Democratic Forces.

For the Kurds, it was already clear that the Istanbul attack was in fact a fabrication of the Turkish state, in order to find a pretext for a new attack on Rojava.

The attacks were in an area where the United States and Russia are supposed to control the airspace, and this shows us that both Russia and the United States gave the green light to Turkey and unfortunately, the day after the Istanbul bombing, Turkish President Erdogan met Biden in Bali. Moreover, condemned The US Central Command officially announced the Iranian cross-border strikes against Southern Kurdistan (Northern Iraq) on November 20, while completely silent about the Turkish attacks on the same day in North and East Syria, and this applies to European governments that do not condemn Turkish war crimes, but rather criminalize the protesters against them.

We know that Turkey's attacks on our region are an attack on the women's revolution. Throughout this year, which coincides with the tenth anniversary of the Rojava Revolution, it has continued to target and specifically the prominent female leaders by drones. We can clearly see the link between the Turkish military attacks and targeting the women leaders of the revolution. Therefore, we believe it is extremely important to organize a strong women's front at a global level against the Turkish attacks targeting women and perpetrating genocide, which are being carried out with the tacit support of NATO. We invite you to show your support at this crucial time by:

Organizing protests against the Turkish cross-border attacks on Rojava/Northern Syria and Southern Kurdistan (Northern Iraq).

• Declaration of your solidarity with the people of the region and the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria AANES.

• Putting pressure on your government to denounce Turkish war crimes.

• Demanding the United Nations not to allow Turkey to legitimize its cross-border attacks under Article 51.

• Raising awareness about the background to these attacks.

• Preventing new attacks by building an unbreakable wall of solidarity that is impossible to ignore.

• Join the "Women Defend Rojava" campaign.
