​​​​​​​ Al-Darzi rules out Turkish occupation's concession of its colonial projects reconciliation with Damascus

 A number of officials of the Turkish occupation state headed by the Deputy Minister of Interior, Ismail Çatakli, accompanied by the governor of the city of Gaziantep and Kilis, toured the occupied northern countryside of Aleppo.

This tour is not the first of its kind. The Turkish occupation officials continued their tours in the occupied Syrian areas after the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced, last May, the plan related to the so-called “voluntary return project for one million Syrian refugees.”

 Through this project, the Turkish occupation state seeks to deport Syrian refugees in Turkey to the occupied Syrian areas with the aim of changing the demographics of these areas.

 A clear violation of all international standards

 The Deputy Minister of the Interior of the Turkish occupation spoke about what he described as the importance of "normal life" in these areas, and the extent of its repercussions on the "voluntary return" project, which his country's government seeks to implement.

 In conjunction with the talk of the Deputy Minister of Interior of the occupation about "normal life" and his country's promotion of the so-called safe zone, the occupied areas have witnessed bloody fighting between mercenary groups for days.

 The Syrian activist and political writer from Damascus, Dr. Ahmed Al-Darzi, spoke about this, saying: "This visit of the Turkish Deputy Minister of Interior to the Al-Rai area in the northern countryside of Aleppo is an expression of the nature of the Turkish policies pursued towards Syria in general, especially that the Turkish official represents an official body  an interior ministry concerned with internal issues, as it is a visit that carries a clear violation of all international standards and an assault on the sovereignty of states by perpetuating a reality that is contrary to its people.

Despite talking about reconciliation, Turkey will not abandon its project

 This visit comes in conjunction with talk about reconciliation between the Turkish occupation and the Damascus government, where reports said that the two parties began taking preliminary steps, including changing the Turkish occupation of the officials of the Syrian file to its foreign ministry, in conjunction with the fact that the mercenaries of "Tahrir al-Sham" on the ground opened roads towards the commercial crossings with the forces of the Damascus government.  While the latter transferred Bashar al-Jaafari from Deputy Foreign Minister to its ambassador in Moscow, in order to lead his government's delegation in the planned negotiations in Russia, reports said.

 The Syrians wonder about the ability of the Damascus government to push the Turkish occupation to abandon its ambitions and project and expel its forces that occupy many Syrian regions.

 On the objectives of this tour, Al-Darzi believes that they are diverse, explaining, "It is sent to a group of local, regional and international parties, at the local level, and it is a clear message to Damascus, that the negotiations and attempts that are being worked on between Syria and Turkey to conduct reconciliation, will not be at the expense of the Turkish project."  , to establish an area belonging to it in accordance with the Milli Pact, entitled the safe area.

 As for the second message, Al-Darzi continued, "It is addressed to the Syrians inside Turkey and in these areas, who are under the control of the Syrian armed organizations, supported by Ankara, and that Turkey will not abandon them, and that the safe zone will be a solution for the Syrian refugees, by settling them in the areas it seeks to annex permanently.  to it in the coming years, and the other message is also directed to the regional powers that reconciliation with Damascus will not be at the expense of the Turkish project.”

 Al-Rai area turned into “Joban Bey” .. a real achievement for the Milli Pact

It is noteworthy during this tour that the official Turkish media called the Syrian Al-Ra’i region “Joban Bey”, in reference to “Joban Mustafa Pasha”, one of the men of the Ottoman Empire, and this confirms that Turkey considers the occupied Syrian areas as part of the Turkish international lands and that it began to apply the Milli Pact from the Al-Rai region and all the occupied Syrian regions.

 In 2003, after coming to power, then-Turkish President Abdullah Gul said in an interview with a Turkish newspaper, "Suffocating Turkey inside Anatolia and locking it up there is out of the question; Turkey's full borders are not the official borders, Turkey's influence and interests go beyond its borders."

 And when Gul was asked: Is this a neo-Ottoman?  He said, "However he describes it, the Balkans, the Middle East and Central Asia are areas that concern us closely, and Turkey cannot be locked up in Anatolia."

 On July 15, 2012, Erdogan said: "They ask us about the reasons for our preoccupation with Syria. The answer is very simple, because we are a country that was founded on the rest of the Ottoman Empire. We are the descendants of the Seljuks, the Ottomans, we are throughout history the grandchildren of our ancestors who struggled."

 On January 11, 2018, Erdogan said: "Northern Syria was within the limits of the Milli Pact...".

 The Syrian activist and political writer, commented on this, saying: "When Turkey calls this region Joban, it confirms with clear evidence, that this region has become, effectively and categorically, from which there is no return, as a purely Turkish region and the Milli Pact is a reality that is being worked on.  Since entering Jarablus on August 24, 2016, then occupying the rest of the areas in Afrin, Ras al-Ain and Tal Abyad, in addition to Idlib occupied by armed Islamic groups, which control it, the MMilliPact is being worked on rapidly and considers themselves that they have accomplished a large part of it,  waiting for a new opportunity to occupy the rest of the areas."

The annexation of the occupied territories to the borders of the Turkish state

 The Syrians are afraid of the repetition of the scenario of Iskenderun in these areas, where a nominal referendum will be held to strip them and annex them to the borders of the Turkish state, with the consent of the international powers that remain silent about these practices.

 Dr. Ahmed Al-Darzi concluded his speech, saying: “It is clear that the Turkish policies followed in these areas continue, and it confirms, through this visit, that the region has definitely become part of the borders of the Turkish state, including the Syrians in it, or who will be transferred to it, and that  the problem of Syrian refugees inside Turkey will be resolved by transferring them to it in order to use them in the framework of the upcoming electoral struggle for the presidency of the Turkish state.”
