Medical Source: Wounded citizen Zuhair Abdul Rahman martyred as lack of medical equipment because the siege

According to the medical staff in Avrin Hospital, the injured "Zuhair Abdul Rahman Muhammad (36)," martyred today, of his injuries in a hospital in Aleppo, bringing the number of martyrs to 4.

In this context, the head of the Nursing Department at Avrin Hospital, Muhammad Aslan, stated, in an interview with ANHA agency, "We dealt with all the wounded with the capabilities available to us, and the injury of the citizen, Zuhair Abdul Rahman Muhammad, was very serious, as he was transferred today to the hospitals in Aleppo city for a CT procedure. His chest, and after imaging, it was found that he was suffering from a bilateral pleural effusion on both sides with bruises in the chest, which led to his martyrdom.

Aslan explained that the citizen Zuhair was martyred as a result of the lack of emergency capabilities and diagnostic tools in the Hospital, saying: "If we had medical equipment and diagnostics, we would not have had to transfer him to Aleppo hospitals."

He said that the hospital suffers from the lack of a CT scanner, blood circulation devices, (plasma) and platelets as a result of the siege imposed by the Damascus government on al-Shahba canton and its prohibition of entry to medical devices and medicines.

Aslan, called on the concerned authorities and international organizations to bring in medical equipment and medicines to the al-Shahba canton.
