​​​​​​​HPG: Turkish occupation`s attacks with chemical weapons continue

The HPG Media Office released a statement regarding the attacks by the Turkish occupation army and actions carried out by the guerillas.

The statement is as follows:

“ As a result of the actions carried out by our forces;

One drone was destroyed and one occupation soldier was injured.

On the other hand, the Turkish occupation army in the Resistance Areas;

Carried out bombardments 4 times with tactical nuclear bombs and chemical weapons, 15 times with attack helicopters, and dozens of times with tanks, heavy weapons and howitzers. In addition, the occupation burned rubber materials beside the battle positions of the Resistance Area of Şikefta Birîndara and then went on to fill the battle positions with poison.

Information regarding actions carried out by our forces and the attacks by the occupation are as follows;

In the context of the Zagros Falcons Revolutionary Campaign in the Zap region;

On August 18 at 07.30 a.m., an action was carried out with individual weapons and grenades against the occupation soldiers who were attempting to advance towards the battle positions of Martyr Aryen in the Resistance Area of Saja. After the intervention by our forces, the occupation was forces to retreat a certain distance.

On August 18 at 17.15 p.m., a small drone which was hovering over the Resistance Area in Chemcho was targeted and downed by our mobile units.

On August 18 at 17.30 p.m., the occupation in the Resistance Area of Chemcho was targeted with heavy weapons.

On August 18 at 20.30 p.m., attack helicopters from the Turkish occupation attempted bombard the Resistance Area of Chemcho. As a result of the inntervation by our mobile units, the attack helicopters were forced to retreat from the area.

On August 19 at 07.00 a.m., heavy weapons were used to target the occupation in the Resistance Area of Chemcho, resulting in one Turkish occupation soldier being injured.

In the context of the Savash Marash Revolutionary Campaign in the Battle of Khabour;

On August 18 at 18.15 p.m.,  a sabotage operation was carried out against the occupiers who were approaching the battle positions in the Resistance Area of Gire Cudi.

Attacks by the Turkish occupation army with tactical nuclear and chemical weapons;

On August 18, the battle positions in the Resistance Area of Şikefta Birîndara were bombed 4 times with tactical nuclear bombs and chemical weapons.

On August 15, the Turkish occupation burned plastic materials in front of the battle positions in the Resistance Area of Karker, and sent poisioned gas into the battle positions.

Attacks by the Turkish occupation army with howitzers, tanks, heavy weapons, helicopters and warplaces;

On August 18, a drone was hovering over the Resistance Area of Chemcho.

On August 18,  a helicopters bombarded the Resistance Areas of Chemcho, Gire Amediye and Gire Cudi 15 times.

On August 18, the Resistance Area of Gire FM, Gire Hakkari and Şikefta Birîndara was bombed dozens of times with tanks, heavy weapons and howitzers.”
