UN Security Council condemns Zakho massacre

The UN Security Council decried the massacre committed by the Turkish occupation state in Zakho, and expressed its support for the investigation conducted by Baghdad in this regard.

The UN Security Council said in a statement that its members condemned "in the strongest terms the attack in the Iraqi province of Dohuk on July 20, 2022, which killed at least 9 civilians, including children."

The statement added, "The members of the Security Council expressed their sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and the Iraqi government, and their support for the Iraqi authorities in their investigations into the attack." Worth to note that on Wednesday, the Turkish occupation army targeted a tourist resort in the Dar Kari district of Zakho district in southern Kurdistan, killing and wounding more than 30 Iraqis.
