​​​​​​​​​​​​​​"NATO is pursuing its interests; Kurds must rely on themselves"

On 28 June last, the Turkish occupying state, Finland and Sweden agreed, through documents of understanding, on anti-Kurdish hostility, in continuation of their policy of extermination, on the margin of the NATO meeting held in the Spanish capital Madrid.

Commenting on the understandings, politician and PYD Council’s member, Numan Arabo explained that World War III had entered a new phase, namely the expansion of NATO and its influence in the world at the expense of undermining and clamping down on Russian influence, saying: "Finland and Sweden joining NATO is an effort to blockade Russia through the Ukrainian war."

"Turkey has taken advantage of this to its advantage, and is prepared to do anything to strip the Kurds of their rights and strike the Kurds-led AANES project in NE, Syria."

He added: "Turkey imposed a number of conditions in exchange for these two states joining NATO, especially since the Swedish state had earlier removed the name of the Kurdistan Workers' Party PKK from the" terror list "after proving its innocent of the charges against in the killing of Olof Palma."

The Turkish occupying power's bargaining with NATO, through the signing of a tripartite agreement between it and Sweden and Finland, will, on the one hand, affect the Kurdish political movement and lead to the handover of Kurdish opponents to the Turkish authorities, and on the other hand, bring with it the annihilation and burning of the space of freedom, democracy and free thought in the world.

All NATO countries, first and foremost the United States of America, operate in accordance with their interests, not paying attention to the negative repercussions of their policies on the world's people.

Arabo stressed that Turkey's understandings with Finland and Sweden in exchange for joining NATO would pose a serious risk to Kurds and AANES, saying: "Because NATO for gains against Russia and China will resort to all available means, Turkey is a force in the alliance, and NATO will respond to all Turkish conditions targeting Kurds, Afrin, Serêkaniyê/ Ras al-Ain and Girê Spî/ Tal Abyed are irrefutable evidence of the annihilation the Kurds there.”

Regarding the form of this threat, Numan Arabo said: "Turkey is seeking to implement the Mali Charter with the near end of the Lausanne Agreement by occupying more Syrian territory, dividing and annexing the country, reaching Kirkuk, Mosul and Southern Kurdistan, which essentially contains Turkish military and intelligence bases, to revive the Ottoman in its new form, in which Erdogan installed himself as the father of the Turks, in the place of Kemal Ataturk.

The writer and co-chair of the Intellectuals Union in Ad-Darbasiyah, Ahmed Suleiman, agreed with Numan Arabo that Finland's and Sweden's accession would be at the expense of the extermination of the Kurds and the handover of figures opposed to Turkish policies in Sweden.

He said: "Turkey's conditions for approving the accession of Sweden and Finland were to prevent the support of Kurds, although there are many parties in Sweden working to support Kurds."

 He noted that the Turkish occupying state 's claims of endangering its national security would prompt Sweden and Finland to fight alongside it, according to the fifth NATO article, "NATO", which states that "NATO States should protect each other if one of them is endangered".

Suleiman noted that NATO, led by the United States, is working to establish a new mogul to confront the Russian-Chinese threat, especially after the Alliance was accused of being in a "brain death" by French President Emmanuel Macron.
