Kobane massacre remembered

People of the Kobane canton remembered today the Kobane Massacre known locally as the 'Betrayal Night'.

Ceremonies were held in two separate places in the city of Kobane and in the village of Berkhebtan.

After a minute of silence was observed, Co-chair of the Ecology Body in the Kobane Canton Aref Bali made a speech at the Martyrs Graveyard on the road leading to the city of Jarablus in which he said:

'' those became victims of the Turkish officials and their mercenaries''. Bali noted that the Kobane Massacre was a chain in a series of many others committed by the Turkish occupation state as in Afrin, Sere Kaniye and Gire Spi. 

From his part, Mustafa Ito, Co-chair of the Kobane Council made a speech at the village of Berkhebtan ceremony in which he said :

''the first and foremost aim of the Turkish occupation state is to displace us. When people returned that did not suit its ends. So that was happened''.

Wirth to note on 25 June 2015 mercenaries committed a massacre against the people of Kobane in which almost 600 men, women and children were martyred.
