Kongra Star condemns Turkish's assassination of Al-Shibli in Başûr

Kongra Star condemned the Turkish occupation’s targeting Co-Chair of Executive Council in AANES Farhad Shibli, and demanded the government of Başûr (South Kurdistan) open an immediate investigation into the attack which happened at its territory.

About that Kongra Star issued a statement which read : “On Friday, June 17 of this month, a Turkish drone targeted a civilian car in the city of Sulaymaniyah in the Kurdistan region, which led to the martyrdom of Farhad Shibli, Vice-President of the Executive Council in the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria, along with a number of his companions.

"It is not the first time that Turkey has targeted civilians, whereas the world has been blinded and deaf about what Turkey is doing in the region," it added.

Kongra Star said that Turkish occupation’s threats come under false pretexts in order to implement “Mille Charter” and achieve its dream of restoring the defunct Ottoman Empire.

In its statement, Kongra Star called on the international community, all international forces and humanitarian and human rights organizations, to carry out its legal and moral duty towards this crime.

It also called on the government of Başûr to open an immediate investigation and submit a complaint to the Security Council regarding the violation of Başûr's sovereignty by Turkey.
