The Turkish occupation army launches massive attacks with the participation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party on the legitimate defense areas.  Regarding the political and military dimensions and the goals of these attacks, our agency conducted an interview with journalist Nihad Kaya.

 • The Turkish state launches intensive attacks against the Kurds and the Kurdistan Freedom Movement.  What are the dimensions of these attacks?

Since its establishment, the Turkish state has been seeking to implement the Milli Charter, starting with the Southern and Northern Kurdistan, as it sees Aleppo as a state affiliated with it, and sees Sulaymaniyah and Hewler as cities belonging to the state of Mosul. Erdogan has not abandoned this scheme, and seeks by various means to implement it, and through attacks, tbe latter wants to enter a new stage, especially when the Justice and Development Party took power, and set its sights on the regions of Southern Kurdistan, many of which it had occupied.

 • Since the first and second world wars, the world is witnessing a fierce war, and an ongoing struggle. In your opinion, what do the dominant countries want to achieve in the third world war?

When the First World War began, there were no accounts for the establishment of Arab countries, and when the Second World War began, there were no accounts for the establishment of a state like Israel. The one who declared war was Hitler, who committed massacres, and the term war is used by the authority when it wants to eliminate a power.

The countries that were defeated in the First World War committed many massacres against peoples, and this aspect must be analyzed well. In 1915, the Ottomans committed genocide against the Armenians and Syriacs, and killed about one and a half million Armenians and Syriacs and expelled them from their homes.

With the idea of the nation-state, the Armenian genocide was launched, and Turkicism was established on this basis. In the second stage, the turn of the Kurds came.  It is true that in Turkey there is a Turkmen component that came from Central Asia, but the Turkish identity did not exist, and it mixed the existing peoples with the Turkmen and formed an identity as a Turkish nationalism. In the First World War, it wanted to eliminate the Kurds to move its last stage, but it did not succeed in that, so it  perpetrated massacres against the Armenians.

During the Second World War, massacres were committed against the Jews, and from here we conclude that the Jews, the Armenians and the Kurds were peoples scattered in all parts of the world, but they did not have a state. Since then,  it has been ruled to eliminate them by committing massacres and exterminations, and in the Third World War, it wanted  to eliminate the Kurds,  it is now trying to complete her plan.  The Kurdish people are in danger of annihilation now.

 • The attacks on southern Kurdistan regions came two days after Masrour Barzani met with Erdogan and the head of Turkish intelligence, Hakan Fidan. How do you view this meeting and what is its purpose?

If we want to assess the image that appears on the media from Masrour Barzani’s meeting with the Turkish delegation, from a diplomatic point of view, Masrour Barzani is the head of a region and his political personality is not an intelligence or military figure;  Here, I would like to explain the image that was circulated in the media.  Erdogan was sitting in the middle and the rest on both sides, and this picture suggests that Erdogan is the president of both parties, with the approval of the Democratic Party, and he is satisfied with that. This shows the approaches of the Justice and Development government and Turkey from the Kurdistan Democratic Party.

The scheme began in 2017, when they launched attacks on the areas of Khakork, and the scheme is as follows: the democrat encircles the area and the Turkish occupation army is fighting the Peoples Defense Forces.  The scheme is still in progress.

Barzani's meeting showed the shape of their plans, as the Kurdistan Society revealed in a statement that it was preparing for attacks on the 15th of April, and two days later the attack took place.  According to the news circulated in the media, the Democratic Forces are besieging the Guerilla areas. There are even reports of the Democratic Forces' direct participation in the attacks.

 • The attacks of the Turkish occupation army were launched from bases in areas under the control of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in southern Kurdistan. What is your explanation for that?

The democrat always claims and says that his cooperation with the Turkish occupying state is on an economic basis;  But in my opinion, the economy is a small part. The KDP's cooperation with the Turkish occupation began in 1979, when Ali Askar and 700 fighters fought Saddam Hussein and wanted to go to Syria. He fell into an ambush for the KDP and the Turkish occupation in the Oramar region.  Democratic cooperation with the Turkish occupying state extends since then.  In 1983, the Democrat directed his forces towards the PKK to the  colemêrg area, and tried to advance there, and spread rumors against the party in the context of the special war.

Guerilla forces entered the Khakorki areas adjacent to the border with Turkey, and the Democratic Party did not stop its military operations against the Guerilla, the last of which was in 1992, when the Turkish occupation, with the participation of the Democratic Party, launched extensive military operations, and in 1995 and 1997 also, the Democratic Party linked its military and political destiny to the Turkish state.

Previously, it was Tansu Geller and Mehmet Agger, and now Erdogan and the Democrat are always walking with him, so what Iraq is witnessing now is a crisis because of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, which legitimizes the attacks and interventions of the Turkish state.

The Democratic Party’s partnership with the Turkish occupying state is very old. From an economic point of view, all oil revenues go to the ruling Barzani family and Erdogan, and the Kurdistan Democratic Party is a commercial company that serves Turkey’s interests and does not serve the interests of the people. Their goal is to expand the family and plunder the region’s wealth and hand it over to Turkey.  in that.

 • Turkish Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu hinted at expanding his areas of occupation in both Iraq and Syria. In your opinion, is there no plan to exterminate the Kurds in the 21st century?

The Turkish occupation state aims to expand in Syria and Iraq, and in the areas where the Kurds are present. Erdogan always claims that the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Autonomous Administration want to divide Syria, but in fact the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Autonomous Administration are calling on the Damascus government for dialogue and protection of Syria;  We see what the Turkish occupation is doing in the areas it occupied in Idlib, Afrin and Jarabulus. It constitutes a force against the Damascus government, and seeks to separate it from Syria, and this is evident through their construction of settlements and the wall between Afrin and al-Shahba.  It wants to annex these areas to Turkey, as it did in the past against Iskenderun.

Turkey is applying this policy now in Iraq under the pretext of the existence of the PKK. This is the result of the colonial mentality, and thus it wants to divide and annex Iraq and Syria.

 • The recent Turkish attacks, with the participation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, focused on the areas of  Shiladizê and Amidyia. Why those areas specifically?

The border drawn between Iraq and Turkey, and the last remaining point is the Zab region, and it also wants to occupy it to complete its occupation chain, starting from the Iranian border to the Iraqi border, Heftanin, from a geographical point of view.

Politically, there is a big problem. The Kurds have been divided into two parts. The first part is the partner and cooperator with the policy of the Turkish occupation, such as the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Kurdish National Council, and the second part is the one that prevents the division of the Kurds and represents the will of the Kurds as the Peoples Defense Forces and the Kurdistan Liberation Movement.

The democratic partnership with the occupation angered other Kurdish forces such as the Gorran (Change) movement, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the forces defending freedom.

The current situation in the Kurdish politics will lead to a gap and bleeding that cannot be addressed.

There is another danger, which is that the Iraqi lands are threatened by division through the attacks of the Turkish occupation, and these target Iraq as a whole, and the formation of an alliance between Al-Sadr, Sunnis and Shiites in this way is based on the division of Iraq, and if there is no intervention in this matter, Iraq will be divided.

The geography in which the Turkish occupation state is located is a strategic geography. In the Ukrainian-Russian war, Turkey’s role emerged, and in Saddam Hussein’s war also the role of Turkey appeared, and in Syria as well, and in the refugee situation and the issue of gas as well, because Turkey has geographical importance, so when countries move  According to its personal interests, Turkey and the countries of the world are counted when they act according to their interests and do not take into account humanitarian and democratic laws, especially the hegemonic powers.

Europe, which considers itself democratic, does not show any position and does not move when it comes to the issue of the Kurds and the genocide of the Kurds. There are hundreds of Kurdish activists in Turkish prisons, such as Selahattin Demirtaş and Osman Kaval.  Why not deal with the Kurdish issue as you deal with the Ukrainian situation.

In military terms, the Turkish occupation state has become a second power in the world.  America wants to continue with Turkey as an effective force in NATO, and in recent years and after the spring of the peoples, America’s positions with Turkey have changed, and now it wants Turkey to align itself with it again, so it overlooks some of the practices that Turkey supports and supports, especially against the Kurdistan freedom movement.

 • What is required of every Kurd at this stage?

Like it or not, the war is coming, it will knock on our doors, and no Kurdish can stay away from this war, and its goal is the Kurds now, and the Kurds in the third world war will either achieve success and recognition and emerge victorious or be exterminated, and the Kurds have no other choice, and the Kurds in the twenty-first century  They cannot achieve any step without recognizing their identity, and to achieve recognition a continuous struggle must be waged.

No Kurd can stand neutral at this stage. This war is being waged against all Kurds, and every Kurd must show a patriotic and unified stance. Superficial positions do not help with this Third World War.  and protest in front of the consulates of countries.
