KCK: Attacks target all people’s gains; we must join hands together to defeat Turkish occupation

The co-chairmanship of the (KCK) issued a written statement regarding the attacks of the Turkish occupation state, in partnership and cooperation with the Kurdistan Democratic Party, on the legitimate defense areas in Southern Kurdistan.

At the beginning of the statement, the statement stated: "Every time KDP officials visit Turkey, the Turkish state launches an attack on the Kurdish freedom movement, and therefore it is not a coincidence that the Turkish state, after Masrour Barzani's meeting with Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish intelligence advisor, attacked the defense zones."

The KDP is still using the media to hide its relationship with the Turkish state, but what is currently happening on the ground indicates that the attacks are being carried out with a joint plan. The Turkish state attacks the Guerilla regions from the areas controlled by the Kurdistan Democratic Party, which proves this fact.”

The statement added: "These occupation attacks launched by the Turkish state not only target our movement for freedom and its guerrilla fighters, but the Turkish state seeks by breaking the will in Northern Kurdistan, escalating the policy of genocide, and completely eliminating the gains in Southern Kurdistan when conditions are possible, the Turkish state officials have always stated this goal."

The statement called on the people of Southern Kurdistan to confront the attacks of the Turkish occupying state: “The people of Başûr Kurdistan in particular, the political forces and all the people of Kurdistan, the democratic institutions and the political forces must rise against these attacks through which the Turkish state wants to control all parts of Kurdistan and make Kurdistan a place for expansion Turkish nationalism.

The statement also stated: "The Turkish state received permission for these attacks from Europe and the United States of America. The Turkish state has recently been trying to improve its relations with Europe and the United States, and as a result, to make deals on the Kurds. The permission granted by America and Europe to Turkey, regarding the attacks of the Turkish occupation, shows the reason, they remain silent about these attacks.

That is why the peoples of Europe, the democratic forces, and the people and the democratic forces of the United States must see this truth and stand up against their governments' dirty relations with the Turkish state."

 “The Iraqi government is also responsible for these attacks. Instead of taking action against the occupation of Southern Kurdistan, it is attacking the oppressed Yazidi community, demonstrating that Iraq has become captive to Turkey and the KDP.

In the conclusion of its statement, the Kurdistan Communities Union KCK called for a broad and comprehensive struggle against the occupation: "The fascist government of the Justice and Development Party and the National Movement Party planned a very wide attack and occupation. Through this attack they target all the gains of the Kurdish people. They want to enter the elections soon and gain power once. In this way, they plan to exterminate the Kurdish people and achieve their goals.

The Kurdish people and their friends must rise up day and night everywhere, and escalate the struggle against the occupation. This struggle should not be limited to Kurdistan. Rather, the peoples of the neighborhood, the peoples of the world, and all democratic forces must participate in the escalation of this struggle.

This attack will be defeated by the joint struggle of the guerrilla and the Kurdish people. The doors will open wide for a free Kurdistan and a democratic Middle East."
