24 persons arrested in Wan

24 people including elderly women were arrested by the Turkish authorities in the city of Wan in Southern Kurdistan.

Within the political annihilation campaign that is adopted by the Turkish authorities against activists in Southern Kurdistan 24 persons were arrested on Wednesday and Thursday after raids in the city of Wan.

According to a Turkish tribunal the reason behind the arrests working with the Free Peoples' Society that was established in Yeni Mehle in 2015, according to ANF.

Today members of the Mothers of Peace council Turkan Ishk, Gheyastin Gefrel, Metin Doman, Gulijan Adar, Dilber Ishk, Ismael Kaval, Hekim Gendi oglu, Mihsen Doman Abdul Rahman Dik, Gorgin Gara, Gezal Oztonj andf Saleh Kerat.

On tursday 11 persons were arrested in the same direction mostly women some aove 65 of whom Kedija Doman, Fatima Yurgen and Wekhma Ishk.

They were all charged with membership to the society. The case is dubbed top secret and detention period extended to four days.
